Hey man, I am new on this channel and I am liking your content. Is it possible if you can make a video on how I can learn to sing, I am a musician and want to become a worship leader one day, thanks
Welcome! The biggest advice I can give right now is to just worship and sing to God by yourself as much as you can! He loves your voice. Also your voice is a muscle. Keep using it and it will grow stronger. I have seen people who were borderline tone deaf become amazing worship leaders (after a lot of time and perseverance). Do you have any specific questions on improving singing or what you’re struggling with? Everyone is so different so generic advice might not be helpful.
outstanding video man, 200 views? yeah this'll hit high. your video popped up on my homepage, so its definitely hitting the right audience. thanks for the help!
Hey there! I am an MD for my church's youth band, and I am tasked with a similar challenge of finding keys for various vocalists. With that being said, I have a question: When you say find the highest note you can sing, do you mean head voice or belting or even something else? Because all of us can reach extremely high notes singing softly (which is usually not what you want for Chorus 2 and beyond). I noticed that when you hit F and F#, you softened your voice a lot, so I'm just wondering! Thanks!
Love it man!! Youth Worship bands is where it all starts. I pick the highest note that I want to sing in my chest voice belting. It depends on the singer, but its usually the strongest (loudest) part of my range. When my voice is warmed up and I'm standing, I can belt out an F#. I've heard that 50% of girls only sing in their head voice. For them. you just have to find out what note seems to be their strongest note.
@@WorshipRecap Okay right, I assumed that we're aiming for that chest voice. Got it, thanks! And that's quite the interesting stat there about the girls vox. By the way, what church are you located at right now?
This is very useful right now as I’m stepping into sort-of a backup worship planner role for our student ministry. I’d love a video on why you shouldn’t sing in congregational keys!
Excellent teaching for me Josh.
I have always wanted to know what key is best for me and now I know to look for highest note.
Thanks for this. Dad
Very talented man… will try this out!

That’s great!! I just don’t believe a congregational key exists. Video will come soon 🙏
