I don't think I've ever properly thanked you for the wonder this album is. So, from the bottom of my heart, my most sincere thanks for bringing the unique sound of early Touhou games to the most mystical Touhou soundtrack of all.
Alice Margatroid: the human princess of Makai turned to a dollmaking Youkai. After her rematch against Reimu,she raptured the lands and gave the inhabitants new life,all except for Reimu,Marisa and Yuuka,the very ones who defeated her. In the end,Alice lost not only the battle,not only her mother: Shiki,but she lost her home. But if she did nothing,her now home: Gensokyo would cease to exist,but even if she wanted to,she can never go back to the life she once had. Alice,an ONLY Alice knows the destructive capabilities of the book that changed the world,so she locked it up and kept it locked for all eternity so that no one,not even Marisa can use it's power ever again. To forget about her actions in Makai, Alice devoted her new life as a Youkai to dollmaking,some designed from memories,some for fun,even making a doll that has actual life:"Shanghai". However,even now,Alice will always be haunted by the loss the home she used to have, Her Wonderland.

Shanghai being a conscious doll is a fandom thing? As far as I know, Alice hasn't yet managed to create such doll in canon
