I always love new tyre day, it is crazy how different even the same tyres will feel... we get so used to what we had, we don't notice the gradual reduction in their ability and then put the new ones on and it transforms the bike! If I had a partner, I'd want them to either ride themselves, or be completely not interested in them at all.... that way they'd only get to ride pillion if it was needed rather than spoiling my fun on the twisties :D
The metzlers had loads of life left they were just that bad. A lot of owners say the same about them. But yeah it does feel strange when you first get a new set. I get what you mean. Mines fine in the twisties but for some reason overtaking scares her.
My self and my partner both decided to do our test together a year ago, now we have two bikes each. She has always been very confident all the way through. I think mainly because she would never like to ride as a pillion.
That’s great. I suppose like anyone it depends on the person. Where you worried about her the first time you rode with her or not as you were both learners together? As I said I felt sick with my Mrs just being on the back of someone’s bike. I trust them implicitly but it was more I didn’t know if she was scared.
@@AGardenShed I have never felt worried both from collecting our Himalayans last year and the first ride home she was confident. Then last month we picked up two Aprilia Tuaregs and had a fairly long ride back. Much taller and considerably more power but again she loved it. Maybe suggest to her about doing a cbt preferably on a geared bike see how she gets on

My Mrs aint safe on pushbike
Ha ha epic. All though balancing a push bike is harder than a pedal bike.
