My mom gave me hers whenever I was growing up and it's vintage the only thing that broke was the clasp to it. And I still have it and it's up in my closet.
Oh my goodness this brings back memories. I read that Vanna White was the inspiration for Caboodles. She used a big tackle box for her makeup and the person who started caboodles thought, " what a great idea!" The bright, feminine tackle boxes were then created. I don't think Vanna got a cut of the profits 😄. Love your channel. I have been into buying vintage makeup. It is amazing how much is still offered on ebay and etsy. You can fill up one of your caboodles.

Yep, I remember your other caboodle video. What a vintage find/haul at Goodwill! Jealous lol🌻 PS: blown away by the unique colored one with the Caboodles lettering all over the top. And that Train/XL sized one. The marbled tops... so awesome😍
Awesome!! Me too, as you can see I'm kind of obsessed. I found another one at an estate sale recently after I made this video. I'm working on a plan for displaying and using them. Keith assumed I'd be selling them, but they're all so pretty I don't think I can part with them, lol!
They're really great, especially if you need a nice, portable carrier for makeup, crafts, or other small items. Super handy (and cute!) Thanks for watching my video Lauren!
I can’t give you exact dates, but I can tell you for sure that the more older caboodles have the metal ring on it by the closure. The newer ones from the late 90’s have the all plastic closure, like the on the go girl ones. I remember when they made the change in clasps. I was in high school. I got my first one when I was in 10th grade in 1993. It had a half plastic and metal clasp. In the later 90’s after I graduated, they switched to the all plastic closure.
My mom gave me her Caboodle, it's hot pink and turquoise with the C clasp. She was decluttering and asked if I wanted it. At first I store stationary supplies in it, and these days it holds first aid stuff.
@@Our80sLife yes it is temping i have a scootlo out of the box and a rainbowdash set out too but not the twilight one i actually do have apple jack but not the one in the box also i have hasbro on speed dial the company who makes them

Hi Emily, it is a very frustrating TH-cam issue. Depending on our video topic, the YT algorithm sometimes thinks the video is directed towards kids. Which they never are.
