The situation in Ukraine today reminds me a lot of the situation in Hungary during the last days of the Szalasi regime in WWII, where the society was just utterly imploding, tearing itself to shreds, and it was illegal to tell the truth about what was actually going on, anyone who spoke the truth would end up hanging from a streetlight. And the Hungarian people just kept their heads down and hunkered down in their shelters and waited for the Red Army to liberate them from the insanity of fascism. Much like Ukraine today. Iran is hard core on the Axis of Resistance and that is not going to change. Also Russia and Iran is signing an extremely important and wide ranging strategic and military agreement this month. Only a small percentage of people in Iran support any approach to the West, possibly Europe, but not the US.
