    Hi Heidi. I just love seeing all of your kitted Mirabilia's. I had no idea how many beads and special flosses went into each project. Each one is truly a work of art! Thanks for sharing. Happy early birthday!

      Thank you so much! She does require quite a bit extras but I found that her older designs are easier and ask for less beads and Caron water lilies and they are less confetti 😊

    Heidi, you never cease to amaze me! All your Miras and Noras are so beautiful and the kitted ones with all the beautiful fabrics are stunning! You are definitely an inspiration and you always make me smile with the way you sometimes laugh at yourself! I find so much happiness in watching your videos and look forward to what you will be stitching on next! I have several of the OOP Mira Mermaids and now I am wanting to start them all! I also love Miss Cherry Blossom and think I will buy the chart and bead pack soon! Hopefully, I can find both! Thanks for sharing! I so appreciate you taking the time to show us all your beautiful handiwork! Happy Stitching!

    I sure enjoy watching your videos. I am not a Mirabilia stitcher but I love yours. They are really works of art! I have no idea how you get so much stitching done!! Very impressive. My daughter is a professional violinist. She is a Suzuki teacher, concert master in an orchestra and has a teaching job at a university. She also has 4 boys. 3 play the violin and 1 is a cellist. So when you told us about your kids playing the violin, my ears sure perked up! Thank you for the videos and happy stitching!

      Wow! Your daughter’s accomplishments are incredible! I know how much hard work it takes to get where she is. Talent runs in the family to have all the kids playing instruments. Practice hours sometimes lasts several hours a day! Their performances must be incredible! My sons dream is to attend one of these famous schools one day 🤞😊

    I totally understand the idea of collecting beautiful patterns, yes, it is our way of honoring arts. I've always like the Violin Player, but now that I've heard the story about your kids playing the violin, I can't wait to see your start on it, I'm sure it will look great! It is the first time I 've seen the Topaz Fairy , I liked it so much that I think I will put it on my wish list for Christmas.

    Heidi - this is blowing my mind!! I cannot believe how many of these you have kitted up - you could literally open your own shop ;) I love it - it's such a lifetimes work!! I only stitched one The Angel of Spring - back in the early 90s before kids and she's lost now which is sad but I love to see your progress! I tend to stick now with WTNT, BBD and Plum St but could listen to you all day :) love from Wales UK x

    Another wow video! So much fun! I was stitching on garden prelude tonight as I was watching. The fabric I chose is Hazelwood from fiber on a whim because I had seen a photo of that exact spot at the Met where she is playing. It is kind of like old castle walls. I love how it looks so far. As far as your buying so much stuff. My dear, what you do is art and it is inspiring. I have the same struggle but I feel it is my art and I am also supporting artists when I buy their patterns. It also brings me great joy. All of it. I even measure all my non cross stitch purchases in cross stitch dollars. For example, is that shirt worth the money I could spend on four cross stitch patterns. Hmm that meal out, I could kit up a Mirabelia. 😂😂 you are not alone. Thanks so much for sharing your “art”! Bless ❤

    @ItsOnlyStitching ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks, Heidi! I loved all your comments about each one and what/why you were using each fabric. I ordered gingerbread (16ct, so I think only a little darker than the lugana) for my Royal holiday, and it should be here in a couple of days, yay! I agree that Snow Queen probably needs some kind of icy fabric. I also like you telling us if they were huge or not (should have thought of it before I started then un-kitted lady of the mist😅.) My husband and middle kid (son) are not collectors, but the other 3 of us are. I laughed when you said to guess at the one you held up so long. It’s good to see the pearl strands from the craft store- I always wonder if the flower treasures are available cheaper at a bead store, but I’m not familiar enough with them to even know what size I’d need. The opal fabric makes my eyes go crazy. I need to find some small Miras like Royal games was. I’ll look for the egg one, and maybe I’ll stitch another Royal games. So great your sister cross stitches too! And of course I’m interested to see her stuff on aida🥰

    • @stitchingfae
      @stitchingfae  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you Shelley! I really appreciate your feedback, and I am glad I didn’t put people to sleep with my over-exploitation of each project 😂I can’t wait to see your progress on Royal Holiday on Gingerbread fabric! She is going to be phenomenal! Aida might take the dye little darker then lugana but not as dark as linen would. And form my own experience of stitching Mira’s on Aida I know beads fit a lot better many times then linen. I will try to show my sisters “pretties” this summer when she is on summer vacation😁 She is only Aida stitcher and her work are amazing!

    Hey Heidi! So many lovely stitches! Too bad you're unable to use the opalescent fabric anymore but I'm sure you'll find a wonderful substitution for each of them. I find that choosing the fabric is what holds me back from starting too. It sets the stage, the mood for the piece. Putting in so many hours of stitching, you want to make sure you get it just right. I do agree that sometimes a piece needs a solid color fabric to let the design shine. Hand dyed isn't for everything. I hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day and happy stitching until next time!

    • @stitchingfae
      @stitchingfae  ปีที่แล้ว

      I feel bad because I love the look of opalescent fabrics and 10 years ago it was a lot easier for me to stitch on them, but…. My eyes are not the same. I think I will used those fabrics for more primitive designs that don’t require a lot of backstitching and beads might be able to use them that way 😊

      Thank you Pam! I am happy I was able to help. The bead packs I usually get from Etsy shops but I also order from the Facebook group “Mira Mira on the Wall” there is an authorized seller who sells beads packs and kitted Mira’s. Hope this helps with your search 😊

    Hi Heidi! I sat with paper and pencil and took lots of notes! I have Roses of Provenance because of Teresa Little Stitcher as well. I was wondering if you know what color fabric you're going you stitch her on? Love the video. It's so special to be able to share this with your sister. Would love to see her work. Hi Lori! Yes, I saw her finish and fell in love with the design. I am not sure yet the color but gravitating toward softer tones for this design and with less mottling for the fabric. I have to check to see if it requires bead clusters or the beads are spread out to see if I can stitch in 36ct. Hopefully I will start her soon 😁

    I wish I had seen that Halloween fairy in January. I’d have been able to do it by Christmas as a gift. These kits scare me though

      Surprisingly older Mira’s are not that hard and there is a lot of block stitching, specialty flosses are little different to work but you will get used to it. 😊

    I also find my eyes do not like the opalescent fabrics. Love your stash of Mirabilia designs.

    Your stitching is beautiful. Have you thought of using Delica beads? They are smaller and fit better

      Yes, I was thinking subbing mill hills for delica beads for my future designs since I find I like working with smaller beads better then regular size beads. Another viewer suggested Fire Mountain Bead shop for the subs that I will be checking it out. 😊

    I bought my first Mirabellia, lady of the mist. When you start yours , where do you start? Middle , left corner or d right corner? I am trying to figure that out.

      Congrats on your first Mira start! I usually start my Mira’s from middle then go up. 😊 Happy stitching!

    I have stitched Fairy Idyll and you don’t use very much of the Whisper on her, I had quite a bit left over. So depending on how you stitch and how much is called for on the Santa you might be able to use the called for Whisper on both with just the one that you have.

      Oh wow! I didn’t know that. Thank you for heads up. In that case I might be able to use on my Santa’s Magic as well. Now that I know I will check both patters to see if one spool is enough for both projects. 😊
