I have the 2023 XE which i managed to get just before the 2025 model came out and they ditched the olins shocks and Brembo brakes. I'm around 175cm so i fitted the TEC rear lowering springs and dropped the front forks a little. Now i can almost flat foot both sides giving me more confidence, it's a heavy bike hey. Ride safe man 👍
You're going to absolutely love your bike. I purchased a 2019 1200 EX about three years ago and made it my own. The bike is great for trails and log road road trips. I've hard mounted a 48 Liter Givi Trekker to the left hand side of the bike, triangular clear Auxbeam flood lights and medium Madstad windshield for long back road trips. The bike is superba at just about everything. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy my 1200XE.
So far I am. I’m looking at the madstad for interstate or longer trips. I’m used to being pushed around by the wind but it would be nice to change that.
I'm 6' 1" and I just got a 1200XC. The "X" was just too stripped down so I found a very lightly used XC with a bunch of mods already. (I made a video and will have more mod vids) I turned 47 and haven't ridden for 3 years on account of my bad back, but the XC has fully adjustable suspension and more travel than I've ever had, so it feels much nicer to my spine. I sat on an XE at the dealer yesterday just to see if I was sure, and it's still tippy-toes for me. Sweet looking bike you got though, I like the blacked-out look.
@TheWhiskeyChronicles-zu9vc Same thing I did today, ha. The weather was finally in the 40's. I always use a battery tender when it's parked. No more stranded bikes with a low battery.
Killer bike!! Yeah my inseam is like 31” and I’m on one of these- I just got used to it. Bike is freakin unstoppable!!! And beautiful!! I just saved my pennies and got the Zard high pipes-SO WORTH IT. KILLER sound, and they look phenomenal. TEC’s 2-1 pipe sounds really good and is like 1/4 the price..
I test rode a 1200 XC (last years model) at a demo truck event a few weeks ago. Their demo unit’s exhaust sounded incredible, throaty and LOUD. My friend and I asked about it- it turned out that the exhaust was stock, BUT they removed the stock baffles. Maybe give that a shot, and you may save yourself some dinero!
In the realm of exhaust, these pipes are cheap comparatively to others. I think around $500ish. Whereas the Zard ones were well over $1k. I bored the stock pipes on my super duke and they were perfect.

It will be a sad day if I ever lay this thing over. I have to be strategic where I park due to the height of this bike.

Thanks man. I just winterized it today. Put some fuel stabilizer in and ran it to the gas station for a top off. Battery is on the tender now.

PS: you can get triumphs accessory cruise control on an 1200X. I have a 1200xe myself and I’m only 5-6’
I did not know that. I think I would’ve stayed with the XE regardless.
Good video and helpful.
Great bike!!! Test it, love it.
Running out of riding time here. 24 degrees this morning.
DUDE SO COOL
