My name is literally Ethan Hunt. I was born in 1997, and my Mum was pregnant with me when the first MI came out. They already thought they were going to call me Ethan and after watching this movie in the cinema my mum said to my dad "oh we can't call him Ethan now". My dad said don't worry, this film won't do well. Here we are 6 films later
Loved this episode, one of my favourites you gentlemen have produced. Long time fan of the series. Even played and completed the MI N64 game. Thirsty for more.
Hey Guys the split diopter thing is a lens, but you can actually do it by placing a half magnifying glass a specific distance from the lens, super jank but it can work.
Enjoyed this In Review so much that I’m currently watching it again for a second time + it’s so great seeing all the positivity in the comments from everybody and seems like I’m not alone when it comes to enjoying the video guys, love Nick doing the plot for something he loves!
I love mission impossible great job guys . I really think you guys should do a Tarantino movie review his 9th movie coming up soon . It would be great that’s a hell of a film universe he made there.
I'm so happy we're getting the MI in review series. I love every movie in the franchise. But I'm gonna have to mentally prepare myself for the next episode. Cuz I love MI2 unironically and I know it's gonna get trashed in next week's review. Haha
So glad you guys decided to watch these. Seems like the perfect time to Rewatchimg these. Does any remember the 70s reruns on FX or am I. Remembering that wrong
I remember when I was 12 years old and I went with my sister and a bunch of her friends to see this at a movie theater in downtown of my hometown called The Rio. Such a great movie for that time. Unfortunately, that movie theater is no longer a movie theater. But, such a great experience!
That dude who lights the cigarette with the big shoulder pads is Tony from Die Hard, the German guy with the big glasses and short blonde hair. I never put that together until now.
I love you guys, and I love this series, and this particular review as well -- but listening to you all talk about movies that are more than just a few years old is excruciating sometimes. XD
Nick, great job with the plot!!! I haven't seen any of the other movies in so long, it'll be interesting to see how this plays out. Seems like I hated 2 or 3, but can't remember which one.
2:54 -- REAL TALK. You guys should check out "The Dark Knight Returns" -- the two part animated feature from 2012 or 2013. It's like watching a compilation of cool shit in other Batman movies... And Cap 3. Of course, The Dark Knight Returns is pretty well known because it was written in 86 by Frank Miller, before he started cranking out weird shit.
They next set of series they should do is james bond, die hard, rocky, terminator, mad max, indiana jones, star wars, lord of the rings, and the matrix
This being the first time I’m watching these movies (and the in reviews) I truly feel like there is massive a disconnect in why some things happen and I truly couldn’t tell if it was the adhd distracting me or just very confusing editing and a lack of communication from the cinematography and I hope once I get further into the series it’s less of a problem otherwise I won’t be able to deal with it at all.
Tom Cruise in Young Guns: th-cam.com/video/8fffcZddyrU/w-d-xo.html Spoiler: He dies in waaay less than 18 minutes in this final shootout scene towards the end of the movie.
ive paused at 1:30 just to say oh no kevin has seen all the movies we should prepare for spoilers. And now ive paused at 53:14 to say jesus it was nick!!! why?
btw i think Jim shot Claire because he was suspicious and a little jealous of the growing relationship between her and Ethan and at that moment her choosing to tell Jim to stop was the breaking point. I dont know why he didnt shoot Ethan as well but there was a lot on that train that didnt make too much sense to me.
It feels weird to me that you guyse choose a movie franchise that Greg couldn't get behind. However I guess the fact that this is a movie franchise that Nick can SUPER get behind kind of makes up for that.
@@MikeSW As far as plot, I feel it's only slightly stronger than 1, but the action scenes are pretty intense. I have huge issues with MI2 that I can comment on after the next review if you really want to know. I don't wanna put specifics in in case Tim is reading comments.
Really appreciate this film more and more with repeat viewings. Still probably my second least favorite film in the franchise, but a classic in its own right.
I used to liek kevin. Till he started thinking hes cool...keep it up the rest of you your all pretty bad ass and keep up the good work...kevin...well...yeah
Do DC in Review!! Now that you have done MCU, X-Men and Spiderman you should do DC. From Superman (1978) to Aquaman. Then Shazam! when it releases on home media.
They all range from "meh" to actively disliking the DCEU. Greg thinks BvS is pretty good but even he doesn't care much for the rest of em. Even Wonder Woman ranks lower than Captain Marvel in Greg's eyes. I highly doubt they'll want to devote that much time to them, and if they do it'd be pretty negative throughout. After Spider-Man and XCU, I doubt they'll want to do another they're not excited for.
Call the trivia ‘Mission Briefings’

'Your facts, should you choose to accept them'
Yes!!!!
Nick killed that plot recap. So perfect. The excitement was palpable.
Nick did a great job with the plot, even better than that fool gameovergreggy. #KFAFforstreamys
Yeeeeah Greg Sucks #KFAFforstreamys
The Grabbler might come for you if you keep talking crap.
Greg? I thought his name was Craig...
Amazing how much better a show is when no one is shouting over each other
iitto ha Greg totally does suck!!!! #KFAFforstreamys
Love the intro. But horribly disapointed it didnt have nick fighting a room full of wigs
Jason Andrews of all the comments on this video, I think this was the only one worth making.
They got him, they got you dude - Kevin 2018
Can't wait until you guys get to the 3rd one. That and everything after are incredible.
Just finished my Mission Impossible watch through and so excited to watch this in review. It’s so weird to see them all together in a studio lol
Can't wait for them to go from this to the absurdity of M:I 2
I love that movie. It's fucking terrible. I love that movie.
@@MikeSW how is ot terrible? It has alot of memorable moments. I think it's better than the first one IMO
By the end of this In Review, Nick will pull his mask off to reveal Johnny Ace...
I love when nick leaves during the ad read so I know when to stop skipping forward.
Why is Nick not more famous
I ask myself that all the time...
Anyone coming back in prep for Dead Reckoning Part 1? I sure am!

Nick is great at doing the plot for these movies! You can tell he loves them and that’s awesome

I love it too, the John Woo directing tropes , the sexiness of Thandie Newton, the overacting of Dugary Scott!
So glad you guys decided to watch these. Seems like the perfect time to Rewatchimg these. Does any remember the 70s reruns on FX or am I. Remembering that wrong
Jean Reno had the knife out because he used the knife to kill the rat.

Man DePalma loves that split diopter lens, you’ll notice it a bunch in his films once you’re aware of it.
Drinking game for mission impossible 2 homework. Take a drink whenever you see a dove or slo motion 🍷🍸🍹🍺
I'm so glad Nick can be part of Villain Impossible. Long overdue

That dude who lights the cigarette with the big shoulder pads is Tony from Die Hard, the German guy with the big glasses and short blonde hair. I never put that together until now.
I’m excited to watch all of these! It’s my first time as well! I loved all the constant double crossing lol
Aw, we were so close to finding out why Kevin started wearing glasses on shows. The mystery persists.
I’m loving this SO DAMN much! Thank you Kinda Funny for your IN REVIEW content!!
This was my 1st time watching it and I loved it. Prob gonna end up high on my list.
I love you guys, and I love this series, and this particular review as well -- but listening to you all talk about movies that are more than just a few years old is excruciating sometimes. XD
MI 4, 5 and 6 are so unbelievably good
Nick, great job with the plot!!! I haven't seen any of the other movies in so long, it'll be interesting to see how this plays out. Seems like I hated 2 or 3, but can't remember which one.
I actually just recently watched MI: 2 for the first time and GOOD GOD that felt like a chore.
Idea: Facts of the Furious -> Impossible Mission Facts (IMF), love the show!
Wasn't Lalo Schifrin the one that did the original theme song for Mission impossible?
Loved it guys! Can’t wait for the next one.
what a pleasant surprise to see in my feed! Thanks for the great non video game stuff guys.
Nothing on this channel is video game stuff though.
NICK! It was a throwaway comment but now I need your opinion on Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy (the book/films)... love the Gary Oldman version!
Love the intro!
My team is dead.
THEY'RE DEAD!! MY TEAM IS DEAD!! THEY'RE ALL DEAD!!
“Impossible Info” for the facts segment?
Harry Potter when?

I haven't seen Fallout, but except for MI2, I love these movies.
Johnny Ace has coolest intro bit ever..
They next set of series they should do is james bond, die hard, rocky, terminator, mad max, indiana jones, star wars, lord of the rings, and the matrix
And they’ve done pretty much all of those by this point!
If this doesn't end with "This review will self destruct in 5 seconds" I'm gonna be really disappointed
You've been rewarded
This being the first time I’m watching these movies (and the in reviews) I truly feel like there is massive a disconnect in why some things happen and I truly couldn’t tell if it was the adhd distracting me or just very confusing editing and a lack of communication from the cinematography and I hope once I get further into the series it’s less of a problem otherwise I won’t be able to deal with it at all.
Also I was almost 5 months old when it came out.

2. Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol
1. Mission: Impossible - Fallout
Is it Just me or has tims mom been trying to switch over to Mint mobile for months now
Nick, your fucking fantastic. The whole team is great, but nick, you shine brother. Keep it up!
It is safe to assume they will bring this back for 7 and 8 right?
I would love to see y'all review all the Star Wars movies!
That intro was fucking amazing!
@34:00 Y'all are thinking of Evan Stone.
I thought much of this movie was meandering nonsense but fuck the two major set pieces were dope as hell.
Came back to see if Tim was right, and holy shit seeing you guys here in the tiny studio is hilarious.

The IMF acting like a soccer team during their mission brief is so preciously awkward.
Why is The Ace in the intro if he is not on the show? 🤔🤔🤔

What a happy story of the homeless man dying to the elevator LUL
Also god bless Andy’s creativity you are a gem
This is going to be dope!
This review series is quickly becoming lets realize how many people our heroes killed horribly
Can't wait for MI:3
Phillip Seymour Hoffman was a world class bad guy, thus, 3 is my favourite movie. Followed closely by Fallout 💜
My favorite thing about Andy is his unnecessary basketball comparisons that fall completely flat. I know that feeling, Andy.
Did Nick break his Mac screen?
It feels weird to me that you guyse choose a movie franchise that Greg couldn't get behind. However I guess the fact that this is a movie franchise that Nick can SUPER get behind kind of makes up for that.
Why was this uploaded on Thursday?
Fiction impossible would've been a good one.
PLOT!
Calling it now; Rogue Nation, Fallout, MI3, Ghost Protocol, MI1, then MI2. At least that’s my ultimate rating.
I really don't get what people see in Ghost Protocol. I think it's the weakest one next to 2 and Fallout.
@@MikeSW As far as plot, I feel it's only slightly stronger than 1, but the action scenes are pretty intense. I have huge issues with MI2 that I can comment on after the next review if you really want to know. I don't wanna put specifics in in case Tim is reading comments.
For Recreational Use Only behold my Mission Impossible movie ranking skills.
I want to see a crossover movie called “The Fast & The Impossible”
Really appreciate this film more and more with repeat viewings. Still probably my second least favorite film in the franchise, but a classic in its own right.

I'm calling it
Is that... Les Grossman in the background...? Between Kevin and Nick?
Nah it's Simon Pegg.
Element ah, ok. I thought Andy snuck in Les Grossman as a joke lol.

Marc Gutierrez lolol soo wrong
Hey Kev, maybe stop rattling that glass of ice around every few mins. Thanks man.
WHY ISN'T This called Mission in Review? MIR > MI6
I really don't think this movie is hard to follow at all.

You guys really need to do the Lord Of The Rings trilogy!! That would be very interesting to see! :)
I'm hoping they uploaded this today so that they can record Debatable with Xavier Woods and we get that tomorrow.
Uploaded by mistake?
Andrew John Bennett ur point?
This movie was so god damn boring.
But not James Bond? Wtf! Y’all are dead to me. Are y’all gonna say the Bourne films?
Cmon Nick get the other dudes on board.
The worst movie in the group. It gets so much better from here.
1. MI III
2. MI
3. Rogue Nation
4. Fallout
5. MI 2
