I stand corrected Glazkov was never a cruiserweight but at 6ft2 and 218lbs he was a small heavyweight/borderline cruiser. Stiverne would win this award and here's why:
1) Hes never beaten a top 30 fighter and his best name was a guy who had recently lost to a past prime Thomas Adamek.
2) He got outboxed by a guy who can't box in Deontay Wilder who even Washington and Spilika outscored.
3) At least Martin has some movement and knockout power where as this guy slowly rolls around the ring like a plum pudding.
4) He got beaten up badly in sparring before fighting Wilder with a HW on 1 and 0.
5) Don King and Al Haymon gave this feather fisted long haired buffalo a free title.
Fat Apples Stiverne at least fought Arelola, who is an adequate heavyweight. But none the less, was a contender.

An astonishing number of “champions” either lose their first or second defence. This makes it all the more special when tough blokes at all weights have a dozen or more defences.
Hatman, you have just done a video 97minutes long basically defending Anthony Joshua's first title shot. No hate 😚 but this video was reaching a bit. Martin was terrible, the end. This video does make you look like an AJ fanboy.

The job of a champion is to fight the best of the best. Failing to do so makes you a bad champion. Both Fury and Wilder have failed to do this thus far making them 2 of the worst champions ever. Charles Martin may be a worse fighter but he took on AJ as his first defence. If Martin was like Wilder he would have fought 15 bums then fought AJ.
I watched buster Douglass vs Tony Tucker in the long road to glory comp in the 80s he battered Tucker for the majority of the fight but gassed and was stopped at the end... so when Tyson vs Douglass was announced I said that Tyson needs to be on his game.. granted Douglass gave up his belt after the famous victory but he was a well schooled fighter but had low ambitions. Beating Tyson was enough for the young man to have a legacy

Those who believe it was simply an off night for Tyson and that Tyson would easily defeat douglas if he was on his A-game, should go back and watch the Douglas/Tucker fight and then watch the Tyson/Tucker fight and then bare in mind Douglas was much better for Tyson then he was Tucker and Tucker was better for Douglas then he was for Tyson. I believe Douglas at 100% beats Tyson at 100% or at least makes it a highly competitive fight!

Charles Martin is the worst in recent memory, at least at heavyweight, He won a vacant title by default against a cruiserweight who's leg fell off mid fight, he then sold his belt to AJ for a few million in one of the most embarrassing performances i think I've ever seen in a boxing ring, after that he flew back to america, spent all his AJ money on weed, got stoned out his mind and started making weird Instagram videos. It's difficult to think of a worse champion off the top of my head.
devon alexandra can remember a guy called Henry Akinwande in the mid 90’s who was WBO champ,he fought Lennox Lewis and held him for 12 rounds the guy was so scared,the fight was awful.

How and why are people saying Hatman is being bias... craziness. These are facts. Discredit Joshua for fighting Martin, a weak heavyweight, but not Wilder for Stiverene. Convenient and selective information to support their narrative and discredit Joshua's achievements. Martin is weak. Stiverene too. The wins by Joshua and Wilder against them are just as weak.

Charles Martin can't be the worst, after all boxing Ego said he would beat AJ. Course afterwards he was a bum. Martin was pretty bad though and he certainly belongs in the stack of cards of the worst HW champions and certainly for how he pretty much quit on his knees.

You're right again. Charles Martin was a poor World Champion but not the worst heavyweight champion ever. In my opinion the worst HW champion ever would have to be Primo Carnera, the 6'6, 260-265 pound muscle bound Italian heavyweight from the 1930s, nearly all of his 89 wins were fixed including probably the title fight where he won the HW title. The fictonised novel The Harder They Fall by Budd Schulberg and the 1956 movie based upon the book starring Humphrey Bogart and Rod Steiger is definitely based upon Primo Carnera and the Mafia's almost total control of boxing from the 1930s to about the early 1960s. The novel and movie are both excellent works, worthwhile reading and watching both. Actually the real life account of Primo Carnera is a very sad story.
P.S A heavyweight contender by the name of Ernie Schaaf died after fighting Primo Carnera but not because of any significant blows landed by Carnera but by a brutal and savage beating by Max Baer in a fight previous to the Carnera fight, all the terrible brain damage had been caused by Max Baer's punches. Ernie shouldn't have been allowed to fight again but his crooked mob managers forced him to fight Carnera in a fixed fight, Ernie would take a dive but only after taking Carnera's light punches for 13 to 14 rounds to make the fight look real, unfortunately Ernie's brain was so badly damaged by Max Baer's punches even the light punches of Carnera were enough to make the brain damage that little bit worse and kill Ernie, the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back so to speak.
That's not fair about Carnera. Everyone who fought him rated him very highly including Joe Louis and they all agreed unanimously that the papers and Boxing media had it out for Carnera and treated him very unfairly. There was a massive amount of anti Italian sentiment in the States at this point in time so sources outside if the actual fighters themselves are going to be very biased. He fought numerous hall of famers.

- He only wins the title after one of the worst title fights in history by barely point-popping a decision over an aging 40 year old soon-to-retire Vlad who appeared sluggish and very much 12 years tired.
- Although, technically, he never lost the title for the cocaine he appeared to be high on in the win we typically disregard drug cheats wins or at least put an 'asterisk' beside the W as 'technically valid but realistically discredited'.
- He simply refused to rematch and consequently has the belts stripped one by one as he will not rematch (or fight anyone0 and then keep this in mind;

I'd have a hard time trying to pick a worse heavyweight champion than that. Tyson Fury was THE hw champion for a brief period after defeating Wlad but never defending it, never stepping into a ring as champ, being stripped of all his belts and suspended for cocaine for 2 years.

Drew King Wilder has 8 title defenses, including number one contenders, regardless of the quality of those contenders. He beat Ortiz, the best pure boxer in the heavyweight division who as a big southpaw with power is a nightmare for anybody.

I actually think Martin is slightly underrated and people are quite harsh on him. He's better than Joshua made him look. Put in a decent performance against Jared Anderson recently.

But he has declined due to not being made a cash offer. I was a big advocate for hatman for a long time despite having my differences with his opinions. Charles Martin was blatantly a very weak champion no amount of bs in this video can really justify that. I was at the weight in for the Charles Martin vs AJ fight and it was very clear that it was a complete mismatch.

Just a point about Maskaev vs Rahman, Rahman was the champ going into that fight. He had been WBC interim champ due Vitali Klitschko's various injury problems and was then elevated to full time status when Vitali relinquished the title so Maskaev was the challenger going into that fight.

Jarrell Miller drew with Dawejko and we just saw Jennings struggle. Martin stopped Dawejko and the only guy to do it. We just saw Parker fight Flores who Martin knocked out few years back. Fought alot of fringe contenders. Adam Kownacki fought an inactive for 14 month Martin and almost lost. Martin started too late and managed to win 4 of the 10 rounds on all cards. Had he started early he would won, he only needed 1 more round to make it a draw. We atleast know Charles Martin is levels above Szpilka,. Szpilka got flattened by Kownacki and couldn't handle the pressure, Martin hurt Kownacki and was 1 more round from a draw.

I don't know the whole history of boxing but martin is the worst champion ive seen. Way worse than a lot of the guys u mentioned in this video. This doesn't mean aj is bad its not like he struggled with him.

Honest when you have the belt for one fight or you don't even defend it you are not a champion. The champion is someone that defends that belt at least 2 times.
No you're a Champion as soon as you win a World Title.. That's why they GIVE you a copy of the World Title to keep forever because you won it.
Joe Parker also a pretty poor champ at heavyweight, Won a vacant title by scraping a decision over burger king andy ruiz, then defends it against a journeyman in a 12 round snooze fest, then nearly loses it against hughie fury aka the running man, sells the belt to joshua, then gets bashed up by whyte.
