- This is a very famous song sung by my Guru Pandit Bhimsen Joshi. This song is an example of a superb combination of excellent lyrics (by Ga. Di. Madgulkar), great composition (by Vasant Desai) and wonderful rendition (by Pandit Bhimsenji).
In this video, before the actual rendition of the song, I have tried to explain how the Ragas Hindol and Bahar are combined in this composition and how the transition between these two ragas takes place in the song. - เพลง

Anand sir, humble request! Please sing Bhimsen ji's songs from 'Sant Tulsidas' (1972) such as 'Ram Prabhu aadhar jagat ke', 'Janaki pativrata nari', 'Bolo Ram ki duhai', 'Sabse pehle Guru charanon ka', 'Amar granth ki amar kahani' etc. Please! Would be very grateful to have you revive these melodies! Some of these are indeed ragamala type songs.

अतिशय उत्तम,सफाईदार पेशकश.मला वाटतं की सुयोग्य साथसंगत म्हणजे किमान हार्मोनियम आणि तबला असल्याशिवाय गाण्याचा आस्वाद घेता येत नाही,मग गायक कितीही तयारीचा का असेना.तरी आपण तबला आणि पेटीचा समावेश करून गाणे अधिक खुलवावे.सामूहिक सादरीकरणातून खूप आनंद लाभतो.तरी कृपया विचार करा आपण.

I watched you first on a DD program called Kilbil , I think you were called Anand Gandharv , am i remembering right? I was younger ,so you were a role model for me, who topped his class all through his school and also were good at music. I managed that for few years winning some competitions in music too . My mum wanted me to be just like you.. but alas i couldn't sing as well as you and this particular song by Bhimsenji convinced me , i will never reach the top level..so i quit in 10th grade :) Congratulations on your success as a classical singer . There probably is no one right now on the planet who can sing this song but you, as close to Bhimsenji, as you hit the top notes correctly .( i have listened to other attempts on utube) . There will obviously not be another Bhimsen ever. All the best and hopefully i can listen to you live when i visit india one day.
