  • RAF Full Sutton was a WW2 airfield in Yorkshire, near to the cty of York. It opened In May 1944 into No 4 Group Bomber Command and was to be the operational base for no 77 squadron for the duration of the war. RAF Full Sutton closed for good in 1963
these are some tales from the old airfield, one from the books of Mr Bruce Barrymore Halpenny, and other tales related to me by a former prison warder at the prison that was built over part of the airfield

    Hi Chris! Another great video!
If I get to the UK one day, Yorkshire is near the top of my list of places I'd love to visit, so I'd love to see the remains of this airfield!
It'd be awesome if a spirit or two made an appearance as well!

Yes, Chris, no-one has told the air crew...Peter found the abandoned briefing room where, in another time-frame, a briefing was taking place and he picked up on that episode. Really interesting. Thanks, Chris!

I do often wonder what the RAF spirits make of the "residents" in the Prison area. Especially if it's say, a senior NCO.
Liked the account about the aircrew figures going into the Nissen Hut and the guy getting that feeling of having so many people watching him. Could it have been a possible "meeting up" place for the guys that never made it back, so that they could or can make sense of what happened? Bit like the what the spirits at the squash court at Bircham Newton did?

as i just wrote to Sue - i had the same experience in a nissen hut at Upwood - the flight office at RAF Debden was even more intense,,,why they are there - anyone's guess
