Hey Doug, It is good to see you guys out and about again. The video is really nice and the insight to the companies is interesting. I am looking forward to your covered visit to ifi. I hope that you can discuss with them the whole PCM to DSD conversion and corresponding digital to analog conversion in their Pro DSD Signiture unit. Thanks, again for your work and taking us all along ! John
@@dougschneider8243 Thanks Doug. Marantz with their MMM, Playback Design and ifi are all doing this type of conversion. AMR, the parent company of ifi moved from a Phillips TDA 1541 in their original reference player to this PCM to DSD with their signature Pro-DAC. I am looking for the best conversion for Redbook and this ifi unit looks very promising. Thanks again for your work and feedback. Take care….have a great trip…John
@@johnshepherd708 I talked to Vince at iFi Audio (managing director in the UK) or you about this. He said that the Pro iDSD Signature -- which incorporates a Burr-Brown chipset for D-to-A conversion -- when working in its "bitperfect" mode, processes PCM strictly as PCM and DSD strictly a DSD. There is no conversion happening with either. So for Redbook -- which is 16-bit/44.1kHz PCM -- it's not going to manipulate it. What it gives you the option to do, however, is convert PCM to either DSD512 or DSD1024. This is an option, though.
We're pleased how this came out! We hope our viewers will enjoy it.

Thanks very much for bringing that up. In fact, we'll be there tomorrow and the next day. This is a topic I'll definitely bring up to them.

Great production, great editing, great graphics, and solid presentation. I really appreciate all the effort you guys put into this.
Thank you!
That was a GREAT video👏🏼👏🏼When you come Calgary, I’ll gladly introduce you to audiophile friends and share a pint over some hi-fi and tunes. Cheers 🍻
The team says thanks!
Nice work!
Disappointed as there was nothing in details for T+A at all, not even a tour of the factory/production line and their products.
Hello. This video wasn't about that. Have you seen this one we produced about the brand? th-cam.com/video/lzW18SuAJW0/w-d-xo.html
