Hooping in the Air Jordan 11 “Cherry”(2022): How Does It Perform??

    How does the Air Jordan 11 perform on the court? And how does its performance compare against modern hoop shoes? In this video we talk about the newest release in 2022: the “Varsity Red” or “Cherry” colorway.
    This colorway is nearly identical to the popular Cherry 11 Low’s, which we last saw in 2016. While the presentation and color choices are simple, you can never go wrong with a red and white combination on a pair of Air Jordan’s.
    Performance wise, its cushioning and comfort level get a pass. Traction is actually great indoors, really good grip on the floor. Jordan 11s fit true to size, and lockdown may be a slight concern around the collar area. Stability is about average in today’s standard, and it does give you a more elevated court feel. Weight and breathability might be its biggest downsides, but in general you can definitely hoop in it!
    Let me know your thoughts on the Air Jordan 11 “Cherry” in the comments!

    Another honest review. You gotta appreciate how this is one of the rare reviewers that call out deficiencies without falling in love with the shoes’ aura. These jordans are loved but lacking compared to current tech. These kicks lack ankle support and doesnt do too well laterally.

    • @TommyLiu4
      @TommyLiu4  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, thanks man. I would only use them indoors for hooping, or you can obviously wear them casually but I don’t think the outsole is the most durable out there. Materials are decent but you’re gonna get a lot of creasing / scratches on the patent leather.

      If you’re planning to hoop in these I’d say it just creases very easily, not breathable, but weight was fine to me didn’t really bother me. Otherwise it’s really decent for a Jordan retro for on court performance from my experience.

    Like yourself and others, there’s so many performance shoes we own nowadays so I have no reason to play in these. Not that I can’t. I would say AJ11 to AJ14 are all still playable to today’s standards. I play in AJ13 every now and then.
