Slafkovsky's play can work without without Suzuki and Caufield, most notably Monahan and Armia. He can elevated other lines. Appreciate the effort and taking the Pens to OT. Tuesday the 6th will be the next match against the Caps in DC. Have a fun ASW everyone!
Slafkovský promotes Suzuki and Caufield, as well as Monahan and Armie. He can raise the lines and his effort brings results...Slafkovsky works for the lines, he is not selfish, who only scores points for himself.
exactly, they even blow a 3-1 then 5-3 lead & lost to the Maple Queefs in the 1st game of the season. that help the struggling Maple Queefs alot to get back on track👍👍👍
Things have been bleak recently, but honestly with how wide open the metro is I’m surprised the Pens are still in a decent ways of making the playoffs. Dubas definitely has to make a choice if we’re buyers or sellers, but honestly I’m just happy to see the team win
That's Jake Allen in net. A 33 year old veteran But yes, Monty's 27, just entering his prime. He's definitely getting there. Having a defense would help they've had a revolving door of goalie coaches the last 5 years. They're rotating 3 goalies, Allen, Monty & Primeau, it's difficult to get any consistency - so it's difficult for a goalie to provide it.
Felt like such a whatever game tonight. On another note Caufield continues the point streak and Slaf keeps improving and gaining confidence. Matheson still a liability on defense but that non call in OT was brutal. Malkin clearly picks off Andy right in front of the ref and nothing… doesn’t surprise me with the officiating across the league tonight.
Пернатых называют пенсионерами, но их пенсионеры, и Малкин и Кросби свой хлеб отрабатывают на все 100%, раздают передачи и сами забивают. Многим молодым надо бы у них поучиться.
You have to at least try to give the appearance that you can possibly get your stick in the shooting lane. If you let a player walk in on a goalie with absolutely no worry about the defender and all the time to line up their shot they will pick the corners all day. Yes the priority is taking away the pass but you can't just completely sell out on it.
Marcus Pettersson and the Pittsburgh Penguins wins in overtime against Nick Suzuki and the Montreal Canadiens 3-2 🏒⚫🟡🐧 Pittsburgh Penguins went up to 22-17-7, while the Montreal Canadiens dropped to 20-21-8

Shakey Jake strikes again! That OT goal was a routine save that a Major Junior or Junior A goalie would have stopped. To my fellow Hab fans: I've been a Hab fan since I was 3 yrs old and I will be 71 in a few weeks and I am happy to see this youth movement and Shakey Jake is not part of it. It's time to peddle him for a forward who can score or help out on PK. Enuff said.
Penguins lucky to get win tonight but I'll take it. Karlsson is a turnover machine lately. I will say the pens show a lot of heart coming back. Puustinen was noticeable with his speed in this game. The powerplay is dreadful. Dont think it's fixable. Hopefully I'm wrong on that but over the halfway point of season and it isn't fixed dont think it will be. Good thing the metro division is weak this season
Yep so he's found guilty or in violation so what nothing will happen no punishment or sentence so really its all the same a law for them and a law for us
The Canadiens seemed content enough to stop doing anything on offense in the third period. That "we don't need to try and score anymore goals" approach hardly ever works at the NHL level.

Everyone who plays MTL knows they're probably in for an easy night. So they play around at 60% effort and then MTL gets lucky for a goal or 2, then sometimes 3. Then they realize they let themselves get into a hole so they start playing like they normally do against any other team and eventually start coming back. Guaranteed. The ONLY difference between a MTL WIN or LOSS, is how much time is left when the other team decides to play hockey. When teams for whatever reason start playing to their capabilities from start to finish, you get games like the 2 versus OTT, and the one versus BOS. Except BOS wasn't paying enough attention on defense in periods 1 and 2 until they said F*** this at the beginning of period 3 when it was 5-4 and people whought MTL was still in the game LMFAO. Good ole' MTL. Just stating facts. Not my personal opinion. Don't try to dispute. You'll only sound foolish.

On a two-on-one...defensemen should ignore the shooter...and focus on taking away any pass. Leave the shooter to the goalie.
