English of Spanish titles: 5) Sad bird 6)The boat 7)Cradle song 8)Secret 9)Gypsy I really like this pianist--nuanced but not overly mannered. Truly intimate playing. This, like all of Mompou's exquisitely crafted music, is perfect for playing at night in a quiet room (but on a Steinway!), alone, or with a few dear friends. Many, many thanks for this and all of your posts of Mompou (and others!)
No conocía esa última anécdota. Muchas gracias, señor Pedro.
Do you have a link to the sheet music or know the publisher of this version? I can only seem to find the version from Unión Musical Española which seems pretty bad.
I just checked it and the sheet music I used for the video is from Unión Musical Española. I suppose it's the same you found online, but I can send you a copy if you want, just let me know your email address. :)
where did you find this version of impresiones intimas? the copy I have of "pajaro triste" from imslp has a few differences from the version you have here
Can you give any information about the score you're showing here? It's very similar but with detals different from the one in imslp. The one you presented here seems to have some error corrections
That is the score I used in the video: es.scorser.com/Out/300559678.html (Editorial Unión Musical Española, 1959). It seems to me that the score hadn't been published on IMSLP when I posted the video.
Lovely interpretation. Presumably the last quaver (alto part) of bar 3 etc. is a mis-reading? The natural sign would continue to the end of the bar to make it a B natural.
I almost sounds like Chopin sitting down and fucking around while people socialize around him, except with 1900’s vibes, also like we’re hearing Jazz not exist 💀 * I was going to mention Satie who Mompou was apparently influenced by and who is also my favourite composer>
Lovely music! So deep! I am just curious about the missing sharps in the 4th piece, in measures 1 and 3, in the right hand's last chords. Here is Mompou's own recording, and the score you put up has them too. th-cam.com/video/ZAgdW8TxKhA/w-d-xo.html. Anyways, I do not think it is too important! It is a lovely music anyways.
Mompou has probably written most of the more beautiful pieces ever for piano. Exquisite music...Very well played! Thanks a lot.

@@leocadieux6781 I'm Spanish and the titles are in Spanish
interesting that both he and Ravel wrote pieces titled "sad birds"
Not everyone can afford an Steinway...😂😅
Maravilloso. Grande Federico Mompou
Magnifico! I would love to hear this wonderful pianist perform Mompou's "Musica Callada".
Bellísimas composiciones y belíssima interpretación!

@@pacom.8815 Thanks for the response and the link, the score is probably still copyrighted, I'm gonna research a bit more about it
I love how there is some Barry Harris mixed with classical influence in majority

What’s with the E flat accidental in m. 8 of III???

I appreciate to follow that great music through its score. Nevertheless It would be important to know who is playing. To me at least. Thanks
The pianist is Luis Ángel Martínez, as specified just after the title
It is after the title stupid ass rat
