IT IS NOT MY IDEA (pt.5)

In the midst of calamity or affliction it might seem as though God is unaware or unconcerned. For instance, God was alive when his prophets in Israel were massacred. Humanly speaking it didn't make sense that God didn't do anything about it the same way it doesn't make sense that God appears to be doing nothing about the burning down of churches, the continuous kidnappings and loss of innocent lives, the destruction of property, and the prevalence of evil and wickedness in the Nigeria.
God stood by watching when Moses appeared before Pharoah bearing signs and wonders. Pharoah being confident of his gods called his magicians to replicate the same act.
Again God stood by watching when Elijah summoned the prophets of Baal and Asherah at the mountain. The prophets came confidently because they believed in their gods so from the morning till the evening sacrifice, they called upon their gods performing different acrobatics in worship. For hours and hours they tried to conjure their gods and like Elijah, God just stood by watching.
However when the prophets had exhausted all their options, Elijah stepped up to the stage and in just one attempt called down fire from heaven. At this point the prophets new for sure that their gods were powerless. This is why the moment fire fell down from heaven, the entire Israelite community was fully convinced that God was God indeed.
So the fact that God appears not to be doing anything about the unfortunate situation Nigeria is currently facing is not because he is overwhelmed or unable to. It is because the same God that is a consuming fire is also a God of mercy, he is abundant in patience.
And like the incident on the mountain, the time of God's intervention is at hand. The time when he will show his mighty hand is near and it will be the game changer.
When the Lord shows up on our behalf, we will enjoy divine speed such that the one on foot will overtake the one on a chariot.
Jehovah will arise and show that the impossible is possible for our sake. He will take us out of the place of hiding and bring us into the place of manifestation and prove beyond all reasonable doubt that he is God.
God's timings are not our timings so while we may consider his intervention as slow or late, it is actually at the right time.
Child of God be rest assured, God is not asleep concerning the issues of your life or the issues concerning Nigeria. He is patient and enduring and the day of his intervention is at hand when he will turn around the negative situations that are prevailing and appear hopeless. When he arises he will cause such a recovery in the land and in your that will shock many. Yes it looks like Nigeria is backward today but as the Lord's deliverance comes, he will cause Nigeria to overtake those ahead of her and make her the envy of the nations.
DON'T LOSE HOPE, DON'T LOSE FAITH, the day of the Lord's deliverance is at hand. He will act on our behalf and we will see his deliverance with our own eyes.
