It’s easy to get into! You could start with the forest service, blm or dnrc (these are called federal) or with a private company (contractors). Federal applications for next year have closed but private companies will start hiring for 2025 from January and on. The employer will train you or send you to classes for your wildland firefighting certifications and pack test. I started with private, no experience and they hired plus certified me. I highly recommend!
@@brandonbudshores I got a couple of questions for you, Im wondering if you have your emt i know you dont have to but i heard the pay bump is pretty nice. I live in Az and 17 and I have always wanted to do wildland but i dont wanna do it all my life and eventually switch to structure but ik its kinda frowned upon to switch. Anyways keep getting after it dawg love the videos!
Hey thanks man! Best of luck on your journey. Specific Wildland EMT’s make decent money. From what I understand though, EMT is a bonus for anyone on a crew but not necessary, therefore no pay bump. Forest service could be different though
Single handedly carrying the Wildland Firefighting youtube scene 💯
Lol thanks! I hope young people find these videos and seek out the fire job opportunities
Training to become a firemen right now after I’m going wildlands for the summer
