😂😂 they're not entertaining themselves. Beavers are very serious with a mission. They build dams to protect themselves and the soil.

Yup, and for that reason we now have issues in the Netherlands. The bever was extinct in this country and in the late 80s they thought it was a good idea to reintroduce them. Now they are a plague that needs to be dealt with as they are undermining and destroying our dykes that keep us save here below sea level. 😡

There was a wonderful bog in my area that was around for a long time but when trapping beavers ended, teycame along and now it is all under water. Sometimes more than one dam will fail at onetime creating flash flooding. Like most things there are positives and negatives.

Almost 10% of our country was covered by wetlands before we hunted beavers nearly to extinction. These guys are national treasures. They start damming up the water while deepening their channels. Then over time the water table actually raises and spreads out further as the silt fills in their ponds and allows them to build higher and higher. That reduces temperatures, reduces flooding, refills the aquifers, and creates a ton of wetlands for wildlife to live in. We're starting to see a culture shift as the pressure from the scientific community is encouraging their reintroduction to their former ranges.

They are such sweet furry workmen, bulldozing the muck into the design that they were born with in their heads. I love the little sounds they make! Such a peaceful video, just the sounds of the water as they move through it. If they have a system for working together without getting in each other’s way - well, I’m impressed! Once again, I am flabbergasted that humans once trapped these intelligent masterworks of nature for stupid fashion. How their close-knit family colonies must have been devastated as one after another family member disappeared! It makes me cry.

      @@parryyotter Dear Parry
Most of those beavers are mature and big enough to go back into the wild, she's just a money grubber who is making big bucks off of keeping the beavers around for way too long. She knows better, she just wants those TH-cam clicks to rack up the bucks for her at the expense of keeping the beaver for a lot longer than they should be kept. She abuses the beavers for profits. A full grown beaver does not belong in her home or yard, and we both know that. She exploits the big beavers for cash. She's a fake that covers it all up with having little beaver around. You're a fool to fall for her chicanery.
