It doesn't get much better than this on TH-cam, a soulful musician's voice and his guitar live and raw. This video's a gem, thanks to the hosts and to John Paul for his art.
So great to hear John Paul do "20 Years". That is definitely my favorite song of the last decade. I was a bit taken aback as I'm so used to hearing it performed as a duet, but he certainly nailed it! I've seen him twice as a solo artist now and he's absolutely brilliant. I can't wait to hear more!

Thank you John Paul White for doing this for a living. You've touched me with your music and lifted my spirits in a turbulent time. I used to be a singer as well, but I found the lifestyle too difficult to combine with my life, the way I want to live, as I grew older. I related to your words and lyrics. Will be sharing this with my family and friends.
What a fantastic way to see our favorite Artist, John Paul White. Thank you all for an excellent production of the finest talent in many years. Love his clever humor, his gentle, caring & sharing persona. Which is genuine, rare & soooooo appreciated in these new times.
Don’t know where we’d be without Caffe Lena. Thank you for being there. What you do is so very important! 60 years, and going strong. Thank you for supporting music of such significance. Brilliant!
Expected more audience reaction when he started the first bars of 20 years! When he played in London as soon as those first few notes were played the reaction was amazing
41:34 As far as I know everything’s fine Like a picture on the wall where you’re still mine As far as you know I don’t feel Every part of us that isn’t real I’m gonna love you like you love me I’m gonna kiss you like you want me to I’ll keep pretending that we have a happy ending Hold on tight until you say goodbye If you were gone, then you’d be gone Well, there must be something keeps you hangin’ on So as long as I stay, there’s still a chance If fate may deal us a better hand I’m gonna love you like you love me I’m gonna kiss you like you want me to I’ll keep pretending that we have a happy ending Hold on tight until you say goodbye I believe, oh I believe So, I believe I’m gonna love you like you love me I’m gonna kiss you like you want me to I’ll keep pretending that we have a happy ending Hold on tight until you say goodbye I'm gonna hold on tight until you say goodbye
I watched live last night; such a treat, especially right now. JPW is a wonder of the world. Thank you for putting this up for all who were unable to see the livestream. ♥️
Thank you so much for this. Have been skipping concerts these past two weeks in Seattle and practicing social distancing, so this was a wonderful respite. ❤️
your work has been my favorite, but this made my isolation experience bearable. love to you. i will keep listening. produce your next gorgeous album for us.
Great adoration for this man , JPW and his music , and wonderful to join in and sing my heart out with him in the privacy of my home! Thank you for posting this. I am just viewing this now, almost a year later!
John Paul and Joy would fill any venue if they announced a tour or even 2 engagement dates. They were great together and they are not great apart. They are still good , but not great.
Yes, and not just for the beautiful harmonies. The songs and guitar playing here are fine but pedestrian, not electrifying and unique like TCW, which was alchemy we'd never heard before. Does anybody remember Mick Jagger solo albums without the Stones ? Domestic bliss is important but when you're handed a bottle of lightning and you smash it on the rocks the universe cries a little.
Fantastic EveryTime - I've watched over and over - what a talent. Thx JPW.
Like butter. WoW His voice is amazing.

Thanks for listening. Our last show with an audience since March! It was an amazing night.

I can hear Joy's voice in here♥

We love WEXT! Here's to future collaborations.
cannot wait to see JPW perform live!
Me either! I'm going to see him in Wake Forest, NC.

I donated & would do it again to see JPW streamed live.
i love The Civil Wars music, but John can hold his own! No problem! Love him

As far as I know everything’s fine
Like a picture on the wall where you’re still mine
As far as you know I don’t feel
Every part of us that isn’t real
I’m gonna love you like you love me
I’m gonna kiss you like you want me to
I’ll keep pretending that we have a happy ending
Hold on tight until you say goodbye
If you were gone, then you’d be gone
Well, there must be something keeps you hangin’ on
So as long as I stay, there’s still a chance
If fate may deal us a better hand
I’m gonna love you like you love me
I’m gonna kiss you like you want me to
I’ll keep pretending that we have a happy ending
Hold on tight until you say goodbye
I believe, oh I believe
So, I believe
I’m gonna love you like you love me
I’m gonna kiss you like you want me to
I’ll keep pretending that we have a happy ending
Hold on tight until you say goodbye
I'm gonna hold on tight until you say goodbye
what's the title of this song? i can't find anything from searching the lyrics
@@squgl i actually have no idea, it could be a cover but like you said searching really doesn't give us anything. it could also be an unreleased song
Fantastic musician and singer.
Thank you so much to Caffe Lena and John Paul White for posting this. I wanted so much to see him at this show.
It’s the next best thing. And he’ll definitely be back for another show at Lena’s.
My favorite singing voice !
Glad you've decided to keep this up. I will gladly rewatch it, many thanks!
It's been on repeat for days here!
Thank you so much for live streaming and capturing the best show I’ve ever seen. ❤️
It really was a special night, and we're so glad JPW was gracious enough to let us keep it public.

Wow, thanks for this. Was great.
JPW is an incredible artist. In the middle of everything happening right now, he had everyone mesmerized all night.
Caffe Lena As he has every time I have seen him. There are times the jaw just involuntarily drops when he is performing.

Reminds me soooooo much of Raul Mala...
Saw he's ill after the jab like Clapton! Two of my favorites!! Hope to catch one of his concerts down the road.
😭❤️❤️❤️
Looking forward to local artists streaming and will donate a ticket price as I watch
Thanks Sally! We are working on that schedule right now and will add upcoming live streams before the end of the day.
JP is very good, Joy Williams is very good. Together they were great. It’s a shame the Civil Wars can’t get back together.
Sooo true, ...
Starts @ 3:46 (Y)
John Paul and Joy would fill any venue if they announced a tour or even 2 engagement dates. They were great together and they are not great apart. They are still good , but not great.
You need Joy.😟

I nuclear exfucking splode when I hear an artist make personal claims for a song I have word for word scratch sheets for
Simple song is my storyline, this unbelievable artists’ creation
