Gliding AEROBATICS pulling 5.5G!

- My first time doing aerobatics... that was INSANE!!!
We went out in a Schleicher ASK to do some aerobatics. We pulled up to 5.5G, I nearly blacked out!
I didn't know you could do barrel rolls, loopings and these crazy steep turns in a glider.
This was a crazy experience and I will never forget this flight.

Great aerobatics! And the best of it? You can not loose an engine (ok, after release at your intended height). Glider aerobatics are on a level of their own - silent, (seemingly) effortless, beautiful. Only using your initial height limits the number of maneuvers you can fly, but if you use height and speed wisely they are more than you might expect. Great you had a lot of fun, enjoyed your flight. And who knows, maybe you will start glider flying yourself? Go for it! 👍

Yeah i also feel much more safe in a glider: no engine, super low rate of descent and ability to land in terrain, strong airframe (5G and acrobatics are no problem), airbrakes, great visibility from cabin and if something really goes wrong you have also parachute :) It's also true that gliding is pure fun, small planes are quite boring for me (not allowed for acrobatics) but unfortunately gliding has just one big downside - in normal, adult life, there isn't that much time for sitting whole summer on airfield / in air :/ I'd love to fly gliders again but don't have time for them :/

Hello from Prague ! I was on a glider flight for the first time in my life recently and it was an amazing experience ! I would like to experience with the acrobatic elements, I am yet to find the courage. ;-)

Takes me back forty years to my glider flying days. I had a Blank cleared for aerobatic including inverted manoeuvres. Obviously fitted with G meter. I cannot recall what the limits were, I do not recall we ever went more than +4 or - 2.

yes truely amazing thing to do, I always enjoyed the aerobatics - best flight was in an mdm-1 fox aerobatic glider, we even did the entire circuit inverted, that really tested your co-ordination!
I think I would have to thrown up at that point 😅

By normal flying a glider the rules/law says, that you need a parachute as gliderstudent or passanger of it. As pilot with licence you should wear it, but it isn't compulsory, while it is ok too use a pillow, ... But the most of pilots use a parachute anyway. Then I think too drop outside the glider and only with a pillow could be ends not so very cool 😅
@@jonasguth4661 wrong, you can fly with no parachute. You only need if doing acro stuff.

@@Avi-Fra"Griffe" würde ich die lommeligen Haubenverriegelungshebel bei der ASK21 nicht nennen. Die sollte man beim Haube Öffnen nah am Haubenrahmen halten sonst leiern die schnell aus. So gesehen hat es Pascal schon richtig gemacht weil safe - gibt halt Tapser, mehr nicht. Die meisten Passagiere würden instinktiv die Haube am Fensterrahmen öffnen - und das gäbe Risse in der Haube.

ich hab noch nie so etwas in RL gesehen xD ist das überhaupt erlaubt zu machen?
Klar ist das erlaubt, also mit einer Kunstflugberechtigung und einem Flugzeug das dafür zugelassen ist.
Unbedingt mal machen beim Verein deines Vertrauens in der Gegend! Kunstflug ist nochmal eine Klasse für sich, ich liebe es.

wat dat kann ein segelflieger 😲 ...hab ich so nochnicht gesehen , weiß nur hubschrauber und kleine tragflächen flieger können sowas
Der Flieger ist noch nicht mal vollkunstflugfähig, da gibt es noch deutlich spaßigeres
In uk gliding clubs we do not allow unsecured mobile phones or cameras to be carried by passengers cant believe you dont realise how dangerous it is !

Ride pilot here with many, many aerobatic glider flights. There are two experienced pilots in the aircraft and they handled the phone just fine. Not an issue.
The music is awful!
