thanks ryan for not spoiling anything, this is my first time watching rurouni kenshin, im enjoying it. I wish that Rurouni Kenshin was transmitted in my country/before my sleep schedule as a kid i would of loved it.
You totally read my mind, Ryan! I was disappointed with the first part of the fight with Cho. I also watched the 90s version again right afterwards. The art, animation and obviously the background music were far superior in the original version. I also think Cho's Osaka accent this version make him feel a bit younger than the original version as well. 1 set back episode is ok. Hope they can get back on track.
Thank you! 🙏 And yeah felt like a little setback for the animation but I’m hoping it might be because more effort will be put into the next episode that has bigger moments
Excellent video and analysis!! Also, at 8:02 "Now the situation has ARISEN..." (Not "has arose") The grammar police thanks RealLifeRyan for his understanding.
I absolutely loved Cho’s design in the manga, I thought he looked so cool, with the one closed eye, the massive hair, all the swords and the cool clothes. But all the characters designs are cool, Shishio looks absolutely epic, one of the coolest looking villains ever. But I always thought Cho was around 20 when I read the manga, what age did you think he looked in the original?
Not really fair to compare the fight to 96 when it so far has followed the Manga 1 to 1, Next week will be the interesting one to see if the animation team can pull it off. The fights starts with Kenshin just trying 1 shots but Cho has protection swords on back and waist etc.
Yea that’s what I thought too, I haven’t seen the original but I doubt they stuck to the manga & just did the fight however they wanted, whereas this anime is sticking to the manga. I’m only on episode 2 so I won’t find out for a while.

I just got off work and this was uploaded to my feed not even 1 minute ago😫 Ryan you’ve done it again
Two videos in one day, Ryan's on a roll.

Man cho is so cool
This episode convinced me for good that the old anime will always be better. Better music and above all, better atmosphere.
Ryan hated this one so much he hit us with the "this episode was good" 😔
LOL I know you’re joking but this is literally how TH-cam comments tend to interpret things 😂

Thank you! I guess I always saw him kind of around Kenshin’s age but it’s probably more likely he’s closer to Sano’s
@@RealLifeRyan u have a very interesting channel u are definitely a nineties boy. I subbed
I do agree i like this season aaaaalot more then the last one as a first time watcher
The episode was actually good but the thing that is letting it down is the OST......WHERE IS THE OST 😭🙏?

I think episode was good as an anime only. Cho spinning like after kenshin hit was goofy, but aside from that i don't think animation was bad.
1:38 i think it have to do with the voice acting
You are not the first reviewer complaining about the fight. I guess i have to watch the original again to see the difference.
this episode was ok but it was a bit weak compared to the 90's anime
Thanks!
Thank you!! 🙏
