Hi Michel brother.. can you please explain more bout the tips and kinda lifestyle for a international student cus as expected i want to join ucsd after my 12th grade.. please please help me.. Thank you and btw I'm from Nepal..
Thanks for making this video! It was really helpful since I will be going to UCSD as a comp eng major. How do you plan out your courses and backup schedules for the school year? (maybe a vid??) Also, thumbs up for turtle neck. Keep it up
Turtle neck is smooth my man 🤙🏽 Just started first quarter here at UCSD ( Marine Bio). I’m finding that the quarter system is extremely fast paced and intense. I’ve studied at least 6 days a week since class started and for hours on end and just feel right on track not ahead 😑. I wish I had more time for networking and reaching out to labs for internships and lab opportunities! How often did you study and for how long? I feel that I’m not studying too hard or too little either. Just enough to where I’m not cramming but fully understanding the material. Hope Seattle is treating you right , Cheers 🍻
Hey there! My studying habits usually depended on the class. So I noticed for me that doing the homework was pretty good review of week-by-week material. Plus, usually doing the homework involved some sort of studying. I properly studied when I knew I had a quiz/midterm/final coming up. So I would say that I did schoolwork everyday but I didn’t sit down and just study class material everyday. Thanks and good luck in your classes dude!
Hello! I’ve committed to UCSD as a cognitive science major (didn’t get accepted for comp sci lol) at sixth college. I’m really hoping to switch into data science, but it’s capped so I’m curious what are your thoughts on the major and how probable would it be to be accepted into the program? Thank you sm
From my personal opinion, I think data science is a really cool major from what I've seen. If I were to go back I'd say it would be a toss up between Math-CS and Data Science for my most desired major. Alot of the classes I have seen revolve around data management and visualization, you can check out the classes here to see if it sounds cool: ucsd.edu/catalog/curric/DSC.html . I'm not entirely sure how easy or hard it is to switch into capped majors, I'd definitely check with the UCSD admissions department for more details on the process. I did find this link but I can't find too much else students.ucsd.edu/academics/advising/majors-minors/capped-majors.html Hope this helps!
@@sykisa10 hey sorry for responding to a dead comment thread lol but if you don’t mind me asking, how has cog sci been working out/not working out for you? I’m in the same situation (accepted for cog sci but barred from cs)
Hi! I’ll be attending Marshall this fall. I’ll be majoring in applied math. Would you say it would be difficult to minor in cs for someone who has no background in it? Thanks:)
I don't think we would be able to meet up, but to do well in MMW, I'd suggest just going to every lecture, taking notes and paying attention. Also make sure to do the readings which help alot!
I'm not too knowledgeable on Bio programs at UCSD, but I do know that a ton of UCSD students are also in the Bio department! Here are some rankings I found: jacobsschool.ucsd.edu/about/rankings#:~:text=Biotechnology%20at%20UC%20San%20Diego,Universities%20(ARWU)%20from%20ShanghaiRanking.

I would check out ucsd's official resources for international students here admissions.ucsd.edu/international/index.html and ispo.ucsd.edu/ . Good luck!
From what I know, UCSD has a American History and Institution class requirement for all students, and getting a C or better in AP US history class would cover that requirement. If you get AP credits by taking the AP World or APUSH exam, it could probably be used for specific college GEs or major courses.
Comment down below what you thought of the tips!

Hi! I graduated in 2017 from ERC. Are you still living in San Diego since you’ve graduated? Or did you move back home?
I moved to Seattle for work!
12:10 did they shut it down?

Congrats! And if your majoring in applied math I don’t think it would be too difficult, most intro classes won’t expect you to know too much!
MIQL that’s a relief! thank you;)
Hi,
I will be coming to ucsd erc this fall, can we meet there and maybe you can give me some more advice
And how did you survive mmw

people freak about mmw but in all honesty its an easy dub
