Fed video. Det er fantastisk at se hvordan sådan et avanceret filmapparat virker. Gad vide om de stadig bruger det. De bruger vidst ikke længere den planetarium projektor som viser stjernehimlen. Teknologien ændrer sig hele tiden.

This is the same IMAX system that I first saw at The NASA Alabama Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The absolute highest net visual resolution in the absolute most immersive dome format. It is yet to be eclipsed by either 3D IMAX or Digital IMAX. My only hope is these dome 70mm IMAX theaters aren't replaced with digital until IMAX makes a digital and laser system that can do the same format better.

This machine is such a monster that even the digital projector hasn't got the balls to replace his throne. Long live mechanical film cinematography. I miss your greasy smell. I miss the cogs, pooleys and reels turning. I miss the dust on the film, in the sound, I miss the fiml bobbles and cracks. I miss this noise. The digital world is a monster in uniformisation of the media. They are even poushing out for one screen format 16/9 for everybody now. Where are the movies shot in 16:10 or 2.11:1 and 3.35.1?, 5:3, 5:4...

More importantly, it doesn't have the resolution. We're nowhere near the 16K digital projector it'll take to replace these.
