Thanks so much, Christophe. Only the good die young....but that's of little comfort in this case : just imagine the compositions he would have been able to give to the world had he lived longer. The same goes for Mozart of course...
You absolutely pinned this. Harmonically ridiculous. This takes me back. I remember Tony in the back of guitar player with a Kramer very similar to your guitar. Love it brother. Love it
Thanks, brother. I truly appreciate it ! and yes, every time I pick up this guitar it takes me back too to that picture of Tony holding that white Kramer (also on the Edge of insanity back cover). Cheers, mate !
@@Blood_shred_and_tears you are doing a great job, I watch some of your macalpine videos to learn parts i cant figure by ear. Do you learn it by ear as well?
@@BuddhaBKFL Means a lot, thank you. I have amassed a large Macalpine tab collection over the years. Most of them from the internet (usually Peter Lidström transcriptions) and to which I've made some corrections - hopefully ! - over the years. If you ever need tabs for certain Macalpine songs, just send me an e-mail at peter.kiebooms@telenet.be and I'll send you the scans. Cheers, Peter.
Thanks ! There is some peripheral equipment involved but my main setup for all my clips is always the same (regardless of what guitar I'm playing) : an early 80s Ibanez Tubescreamer into a 100W plexi Marshall (the one in this clip is the handwired version). Instead of the Tubescreamer I sometimes use a late 70s DOD-250 (the grey one) if I want more of an Yngwie sound (you can hear it being used in all my Malmsteen clips). Kind regards, Peter.
@@Blood_shred_and_tears Nice. But is that a Gotoh Floyd you have replaced the standard Floyd with? Did it fit right-away or did you have to make any modifications? How do you think they compare in tone, stability and tone?
@@Thomas.Ericsson Yes, it's a Gotoh. Didn't fit right-away so I had my guitar tech do the necessary small alterations. He was also the one who advised me to go with the Gotoh gold hardware because he had previous experience. I must say it works perfectly : no intonation, tuning or stability problems at all. I cannot however compare to the original hardware since I had it removed shortly after purchasing the guitar. Cheers, Peter.
Awesome vibe ! Well played ! And well Chopin was a genius. He died young unfortunately at 39 years of age such a shame.

Such a beautiful solo by Mr Macalpine! Great job Peter :)
Beautiful solo indeed, Jonas. Thanks so much ;-)

Well done. Sounds great. Is that a Mexico Charvel?
Thanks, Thomas. Charvel : yes, it is (San Dimas model).

Nice guitar but I think I would’ve opted to not go with the “gold package”.
Personal preference, I guess : I found it to be rather bland looking with the original metallic hardware...
