@@mijanps1153 If you purchase multiple of the same type of Express Passes at the same time from Klook it is likely but not guaranteed that you will be assigned the same times. An alternative is to purchase directly from USJ, where you can choose the time slot: www.usjticketing.com/expressPass
Me and my wife just went 2 days ago, this information was very useful, just wanted to mention something, when we got to the park, in the app when trying to reserve area timed entry ticket, it said (before the park opened) No Timed Entry Ticket (in red) and i thought that it was sold out with not more slots, but it just means that there is free entry, then it changes and let’s you reserve, anyway we entered without reservation because we went early but, going out the amount of people making line was huge, btw if you are planning to eat at kinopio’s cafe, when is too crowded there is 2 lines one for getting time tickets to come back and the other one to redeem them and enter to eat. Anyway this video helps alot.
Thank you so much for this video-it was incredibly helpful! It’s not easy to find clear and well-explained guides on the ticketing process, but you made it all very easy to understand. I really appreciate you taking the time to create this!
For some reason buying tickets through the main USJ web site, it seemed to have a problem with my credit card. Then Klook ALSO had a problem with my credit card - I should get that card checked - but at least the Klook link you provided also gave me the option to pay with PayPal, so I was finally able to pay for them that way. So thank you so much for this video and for that Klook link!
Sorry there was an issue with your card. Maybe your credit card company flagged the transactions as suspicious. Thanks for using our link, and have a wonderful time at USJ! 🌺Heidi
Thank you so much for your videos on super Mario world! They’ve been so helpful. I was so confused with the varying types of studio passes. You’re awesome ❤
Hi, we are slowly working on it! In the mean time, you can purchase your tickets directly, but do this as far in advance as possible to be sure you get tickets: ghibli-park.jp/en/ticket/ www.ghibli-museum.jp/en/tickets/
Hi, thanks for the explanation but I'd like to inquire the following: 1. Should I be scanning the entry tickets (in QR code) via the USJ app? Or do I just enter USJ with the QR code via Klook? 2. For express pass with timed entries, as Klook issued a separate QR code, do I need to scan it with the USJ app as well? Or will the staff scan this QR code at the entrance of the park? Hope you'd be able to help, thanks!
1. You can enter USJ using the QR code from Klook. If you want to use all the functions of the USJ app, you can also scan your QR code with the USJ app. 2. You don't need to scan the QR code for your Express Pass with the app. Please read and follow the instructions provided by Klook regarding using your Express Pass.
Hello, if i purchase the universal express pass on kloook, do i need a separate entry ticket just for the park. As the t&c states this is not including park admission. Thank you!
Yes, you need to purchase a Studio Pass (entrance ticket) to get into Universal Studios Japan. An Express Pass is an optional additional purchase. 🌸 Heidi
Hi! I bought a 1 day studio pass and with a super nintendo area timed ticket on klook. 2 questions: 1) Do I have to print both the Studio Pass and the QR code to claim the area timed ticket? Or will digital versions on phone be sufficient? 2) Do I still have to purchase anything else to get into the Harry Potter land?
Hi. You do not need to print the QR code for your studio pass, you can scan it directly from your phone at the ticket gate. Please follow the directions you were provided regarding the Area Timed Entry Ticket. If the Area Timed Entry is for Harry Potty, you don't need anything else to enter. Here's one of our other videos about USJ: th-cam.com/video/TQ7-nILdzeU/w-d-xo.html
In order for certain feature in the USJ app to work, it needs to be linked to your tickets. Within the USJ app, click Timed Entry e-Ticket, then Register Park Passes. I will show this process in my next video. 🌺 Heidi
Thanks for all the info! Also, do you think there will be any Super Nintendo World Area Timed Tickets for August? And when should one be ready to buy one?
Sorry, I'm not sure I understand your question. Are you asking about the USJ Studio Pass + SNW Area Timed Entry combo on Klook? I'm not currently seeing that option on the Klook website. Tickets are released two months in advance, so you can check for August tickets two months before your planned visit. If you get a regular 1 Day Studio Pass for USJ, once you are inside USJ you can use the app on your phone or a kiosk to book an Area Timed Entry Ticket for SNW. Does that answer your question?
Your tips are awesome, thanks! But I'm still a bit confused... with the express pass I can substitute the studio pass? Or should I get both of them? (I know the express pass is not mandatory, but still... if I'd want it
Both! A Studio Pass is required to enter Universal Studios Japan. The Express Pass is optional. If you opt for an Express Pass, you’ll need both that and a Studio Pass. 🌺 Heidi
Going to Japan in 2 months time. Does the Studio pass includes admission to super nintendo world, Jaws, Harry Potter etc or i have to get the express passes to gain entry? I intend to visit most if not all of the attractions in Universal studios. What’s your suggestion? Thank you.
Hi, yes it does cover the ability to all sections of the park. However, Super Nintendo World and Harry Potter require entry timed tickets to enter. I recommend watching these videos. They are from last year but mostly still apply: th-cam.com/video/DIYgItLIIzc/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/wT9e6PYLQts/w-d-xo.html

On the video you explain the ticket type differences ( A,B,C and D), but on Klook website they have an E ticket type option. Do you know what is the meaning of this ticket type?
Hi, Studio Pass E is the most expensive tickets. It looks like it falls during mid August, which is when the Obon Festival takes place. You could think of this as high-high season. Along with a more expensive ticket, I would also expect large crowds. 🌺 Heidi
Hi! I have purchased my tickets (studio pass + express pass 4) but i am confused as to how i'll redeem them when i'm in the park itself, do you have a guide about this? Thank you!
Hi. When we purchased Studio Passes from Klook, I simply scanned the QR codes from my phone at the entrance gate to Universal Studios Japan. For the Express Pass, I think there are instructions on your confirmation that explain how to redeem it. Here's our latest video with tips for visiting USJ. I show scanning the tickets as we enter: th-cam.com/video/TQ7-nILdzeU/w-d-xo.html
If you purchase an Express Pass from Klook, the time slots will be randomly chosen and shown on your voucher. If you want to choose specific time slots, it's better to order from the USJ website. 🌺 Heidi
So I clicked on one day studio pass. Didn’t see the a b or c options like it was mentioned here, did it on my phone. If I get just the one day pass is that enough?
If you buy the express pass there in Klook, does it already book an Area Time Entry Ticket for Super MArio World & Harry Potter? Or do you still have to reserve it first time in the morning at the day in USJ?
If you purchase an Express Pass on Klook that includes Area Timed Entry, your time slot will be indicated on the voucher ticket. You will not need to reserve it upon entry into USJ. 🌺 Heidi
We were able to on our most recent visit to USJ. We went right to Super Nintendo World before they required Area Timed Entry. Later that day we walked right into Harry Potter World without needing an Area Timed Entry. I think they only restrict it on really busy days. We shared our experience in this other video: th-cam.com/video/TQ7-nILdzeU/w-d-xo.html
Hi, if I buy 1.5 day studio tickets, at what day you recommend I should buy Express ticket? The first day or second? Or should I buy both day Express ticket 😳
And is there any window time for Express tickets? Because for 1.5 day studio tickets I can only come at 3pm in the first day… How do I know this express ticket has time entry after 3pm.. Thank you 🙏
I would buy the Express Pass for your second (full day) at USJ. It will have specific times for rides and Area Timed Entry, if you buy an Express Pass which includes Area Timed Entry. The first day you can get familiar with the lay out of USJ and ride a couple rides.
Hello! I want to go to the Super Nintendo world but i have a dobut. I want to buy the ticket which includes the enter to the park and to the Mario's zone. If I buy that kind of ticket, I need to also go to the machins in universal and enter to the lotery or i can just go to Mario's zone directly at the time i have reserved? Thank you!
Hi! If you purchase the ticket that includes both the Studio Pass (entry to USJ) and Area Timed Entry to Super Nintendo World, there is no need to go to a ticketing kiosk within the park. Simply get in line to enter Super Nintendo World at your designated time slot. 🌺 Heidi
Hello again. If I buy an express pass 7 and a 2 day studio pass, would I be able to use my express pass over 2 studio days or is the express pass only good for 1 day ?
@@KenshoQuest I see, thanks for the reply. I saw on the video you guys had a 2 years old when you guys were in Universal, we have 3 kids and the youngest is 2 as well, will be 3 when we go next year. She unfortunately wouldn't meet a lot of height requirements and one of us will need to stay behind with her while the other go with the 2 older kids to rides.
Hello! If I purchase multiple express passes for my family, are we guaranteed the same timed entry? Or is there a possibility that our express passes will differ and have varying timed entries?
Hi. If you purchase them all at once from Klook, hopefully they will be for the same time slots, but no guarantees. If you want to be certain, you could purchase your Express Passes directly from the USJ website, which allows you to select the time slots. You could still get your basic Studio Passes from Klook. 🌺 Heidi
I see. We've never actually purchased Express Passes. I do know that if you purchase different types of Express Passes they will likely be for different times. Hopefully if you purchase all the same type at the same time they will give the same time slots. Best of luck!@@andrewvega7041
Question. I just got my tickets through Klook (studio pass) but won't let me download them to the USJ App, do I need to wait until the day of or is there something wrong?😢

Thanks for the link, I try to buy express pass for nov 14 (today is sept 13 in Canada) but it is showing sold out already? do you know any other ways I can buy pls ? Thanks
Hi. I showed step by step what it looks like in this separate video: th-cam.com/video/TQ7-nILdzeU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=ikHOTraCIFXZpEOj The tickets don’t show up as much once they are linked to the app.
Hello I bought my tickets online on KLOOK, but when I scan the Qr code with my wife's phone it doesn't work. Can you please tell me how you obtained the paper tickets? Thank you
Hi. Please wait until the day after purchasing the tickets to try linking them to the USJ app. If it still doesn't work, you may need to wait until the day of your visit to USJ. To enter USJ, we scanned our tickets directly from the Klook app on my phone at the ticket gate. We didn't have paper tickets. Here's my more recent video, walking through the process step by step: th-cam.com/video/TQ7-nILdzeU/w-d-xo.html
Hi! Thanks for your wonderful channel and videos! It's been really helpful, I wasn't able to find the option "Super Nintendo World + 1 day studio pass", so I guess that's the ticket I have to buy (we're going on September). It's quite hard to know which option is the correct when you've that amount of tickets at the web 🥲 Now I'm going to struggle to get tickets for Ghibli museum and Ghibli park 😂 thanks again and kind regards from Catalonia❤
Hi. They rarely offer the "Super Nintendo World + 1 Day Studio Pass" option. You might need to get just a "1 Day Studio Pass" instead. Best of luck getting Ghibli tickets!
After hitting the link provided above I’m not able to see the “studio pass a-b-c-d” options, it only gives me date options. Am I doing something wrong?
Maybe they got rid of the letters to simplify and avoid confusion. Just select the date you are interested in visiting from the calendar. The calendar shows the various prices based on the day. 🌺 Heidi
I wonder if you can buy tickets to USJ using a foreign credit card if you are IN japan? Similar to how you cant add a foreign credit card to the TaxiGo app or the Shinkansen booking site unless you are physically in Japan. Have you tested this by chance?
Hi. The USJ website now accepts foreign credit cards, whether or not you’re in Japan. I still book through Klook, since I like to have all of our attraction tickets together in the Klook app. 🌸 Heidi
I wonder, is it possible to get tickets at the park itself? Just thought I’d ask because I’m unsure if I actually want to attend this month? Also, does the park take cash payments for tickets as well?
I show the steps of exactly how to scan the Studio Pass is my latest USJ video: th-cam.com/video/TQ7-nILdzeU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=lwGk7Fevm1JNXBze The Express Pass doesn’t need to be scanned into the app. Just bring your confirmation.
Do you happen to know if the window to purchase USJ Express Passes is 60 days or 2 months? And what time of day does that window open? Is it something like 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM Japan Standard Time?
@@KenshoQuest Thank you for answering! One last question if I buy 4 express passes on the same cart, is it guaranteed to all have the same attraction times?
@@darvr4042 Hopefully it will give you all the same times, but no guarantees. You can also purchase the Express Passes directly through the USJ website, which will allow you to select specific time slots.
So for example, if we buy A ticket for 10th june & on the day its raining, we can skip that day and instead go on 11th june (assuming its A day too) ? Do we need to do anything to change days like this ?
I believe that is correct, and nothing needs to be done to change the ticket voucher. Our voucher says "Ticket Price A" and shows a calendar of dates and says "Valid for 1 day on the date printed A on the calendar". To be extra certain, you might want to contact Klook to verify. 🌺 Heidi
This is our plan, we surely need your advice if this is a good plan : No express pass. Instead, we enter USJ 2 days + stay in a hotel inside USJ. Day 1 : arrive early for mario kart. Then do other things in SNW (yoshi, play with power band). Day 2 : arrive early for harry potter shows. Then do other things (spiderman, jurassic ride, jaws). Since mario & harry potter seem to have the longest Q, we arrive early to beat the Q. Do you think this is a good plan ? What can we change to get on more rides in USJ ? Thanks for your help !
@@goodlifebdg Sounds like an excellent plan! Very similar to what we will do when we return to USJ this summer. SNW is by far the most crowded. Followed by HP.
Hi there! So you mentioned we could get tickets from Klook up to 2 months in advance. Is there a particular time that Klook release the tickets on the day for purchase?
Sorry, I’m not sure what time USJ tickets are released. The Studio Passes (basic tickets) don’t tend to sell out right away, but the Express Passes might.
Hi, If you book something through Klook that includes an Area Timed Entry, such as an Express Pass, as soon as you receive the confirmation voucher, it will have the time slot on it. Does that answer your question?
Hello, thanks for this great video! I appreciate it. Quick question... Already i bought a express Pass 4 attraction, do i need to buy another ticket? i mean even paying the express pass, do we need buy a 1 day studio pass? Thanks in advance.
Hi I have a question. I searched for hours and didn't find the answer I booked a ticket from the official website on 17AUG and I received the ticket by email I noticed that my ticket price is E, it's show on the calendar that E tickets is from 10 to 17 August And my express pass + 1 day studio pass is on August 17 is it possible to use both 1 day studio pass and express pass any day in Ticket price E ?
Hi. While you can use the 1 Day Studio Pass on a different day marked E, I don't think you can use the Express Pass on a date other than the specific date it was purchased for. Express Passes are sold in limited quantities and certain rides have designated times for the specific day. I've never purchased an Express Pass, so I don't have one to look at. Maybe read all the fine print on the Express Pass to see what it says. 🌸 Heidi
Hello, I need help please I bought the Nintendo and kansai pass, but I’m gonna skip the kansai because I’m not gonna be long in Osaka would there be a problem if I skip it and the reason why I’m not buying just Nintendo pass is because they’re sold out for the date that I want. also the entry time says 1 PM what happens if I get there as soon as Universal opens will they let me in or have to wait until 1pm??
Hi. If you don’t mind the amount you paid, it’s fine to not use the Have Fun in Kansai Pass. Normally, the very first group of people are allowed to enter Super Nintendo World without an Area Timed Entry, but as soon as it reaches capacity they start requiring an Area Timed Entry. What you could do is set up the USJ app on your phone and as soon as you enter the gate at Universal Studios Japan try scheduling an Area Timed Entry through the app. Even those go quickly. If that doesn’t work, you still have your scheduled time slot when you can enter. 🌸 Heidi
Hi, if I don't receive an email with my QR codes from Klook after my studio day pass purchase, but can see the QR code on the app (also says booking confirmed), does that mean it's good to go?
Hi. Do you need to follow the schedule given by Klook on the express pass? We are group but not all can afford th3 extra express pass. I womder if can all sync our schedules (with and without express pass). Thanks.
Hi. It would be really difficult to coordinate schedules with and without express passes. I’ve heard even if you book different express passes they give different time slots. It would only be worth buying an express pass if you are going to follow the times given for the rides and Area Timed Entry. Because it allows you to go in a much shorter line at the designated times. Our family visited USJ with only regular Studio Passes. We just made sure to get to USJ 1.5 hours before opening. We were able to enter Super Nintendo World before they restricted entry and get straight on a ride. We shared lots of tips in this other video: th-cam.com/video/wT9e6PYLQts/w-d-xo.html
@KenshoQuest yea customer support said that they (USJ) wasn't offering it anymore. I found a bunch of threads on reddit that no one can get the pre-bought time entry now.
Hi. Open the USJ app, click on "Timed Entry eTickets", scroll down to "Register Park Passes", then either scan the QR code or Upload from Photo Library. I show linking the tickets to the app at 04:15 in my most recent video about USJ: th-cam.com/video/TQ7-nILdzeU/w-d-xo.html

Hi, if I travel with elder people and baby with half of our group, do everyone have to get express pass to enter the super nintendo world together, but some of them will not be attending the ride. Do you have any tips?
Hi. Everyone who has a Universal Studios ticket (Studio Pass), needs to get an Area Timed Entry Ticket to enter Super Nintendo World. An Area Timed Entry Ticket can be obtained for free once you are inside Universal Studios Japan. Either use the USJ app on your phone to reserve for everyone. Or use a ticketing kiosk in the park. This is different from an Express Pass, which would be purchased before visiting USJ. The baby probably does not need an Area Timed Entry, since they will not have a Studio Pass. 🌺 Heidi

Can I visit every major attraction without an Express Pass? Because I can wait the whole day. Or are the lines so BIG that even if I wait for a very long time I will still miss some things because the park closes?
Hmmm, I haven't tried this myself, so I'm not exactly sure. It depends upon the time of year that you visit. For example, if you go in August on a day labeled D or E on the price calendar, the lines will probably be super long. But if you go on a day labeled A, the lines might not be so bad. I would install the USJ app on your phone and start checking the wait times for the rides you are interested in, to get an idea.
Hi! The dates may be grayed out for a couple reasons. Either it's a different category of ticket than you have selected, in which case you can toggle at the top "Switch off to show prices for all packages". Or it's for a date more than two months out, so the tickets are not yet available for purchase. Hope that helps. 🌺 Heidi
We’re planning to get the Klook Pass Tokyo for our trip to Japan this summer. It’s the easiest and cheapest way to book attractions. We’re planning to do the 6 attraction bundle, plus Disneyland add on. We’re going to be in Tokyo for a month, so we’ll have time to see lots of attractions. 🌺 Heidi
I bought the Tokyo train pass through klook. It’s good for metro and Toei trains. It’s very reasonable. I bought the 72 hour one. My JR pass was good on certain local trains too. There are several different train lines in Tokyo.
Last December we purchased USJ Express Passes through the official USJ website with a friend's AMEX card because our MasterCard wouldn't work. We live in Hawaii. Are there similar problems this year? If so, do you have any recommendations? We buy the Express Pass through the official USJ website because we like the times/packages offered better than Klook. We buy the park entry through Klook.

Hello I have a 2 day studio pass for the 25th a D day but the next day the 26th is a B day, can I still visit on 24th which is a D day or does that only work for the 25th onward? Thank you ❤
I think you could visit instead of the 24th, since it is also a D day. If you purchased on Klook, read the fine print the the voucher that Klook sent. It should include a calendar marking the various D days. 🌺 Heidi
question: I am going to USJ with a party of 3. Can I book 3 admission tickets and 3 express passes all at once? How do you use the express passes when you get to the park? Do I have to present all 3 express passes QR codes for the party of 3 from one app? or do each person have to install their own USJ app?
Hi. Yes, you should be able to book 3 Studios Passes together and 3 Express Passes, as long as that many are available. You could either enter all tickets into one phone, or put them separately into 3 phones. Usually the advantage of entering studio passes into one phone is being able to book Timed Entry Tickets together. But you will already have time slots from your Express Passes. Have fun at USJ! 🌺 Heidi
Thanks so much for the explanation! Do you know at what time Klook release tickets? The Super Nintendo World tickets seem to sell out immediately when tickets for the month are released They say tickets for October 11 onwards will be released on august 11 but don’t say when
Sorry, I don't know exactly when Klook releases tickets. I'm not sure if they even offer the package with SNW Area Timed Entry anymore. My advice is to get to USJ as early as possible to get into SNW or schedule an Area Timed Entry with the app. Or if you want to be certain to get into SNW, you can buy an Express Pass that includes it. We just visited yesterday July 11, 2023 and got into SNW without Area Timed Entry by getting in line for USJ at 7:30am. @@KenshoQuest thank you so much for replying, it’s really appreciated! Guess we’re in for an early start 😂 we’re going in a Thursday in October so hopefully shouldn’t be too packed
Yes, the Studio Pass covers admission to Harry Potter World. However, if it is busy that day, they may require an Area Timed Entry Ticket to get into HP. Once you are inside USJ, an Area Timed Entry can be obtained for free from a kiosk or using the USJ app on your phone. 🌺 Heidi
What's the best time to check tickets? I check everyday and it seems like it's always sold out in September. My date is almost here and don't want to miss out.

I contacted Klook and they said I can only scan the QR codes the day of entry at the park. Hello Again, if we already know the specific date we are going, should i go directly to chosing 1day studio pass A, B or C? what is the difference between this and "SNW + 1day studio pass B"?
Start by selecting the date of your visit on the availability calendar. That will narrow it down and only show you either A, B, or C. The SNW + 1 Day Studio Pass comes with an Area Timed Entry for Super Nintendo World for a specific time slot. This is one way to guarantee you will be able to visit SNW.

Your channel has been very helpful for planning our trip. Just wanted to add that similar to another commenter it doesn't appear I can add my tickets to the USJ app ahead of time. Towards the end of this video, you said once you receive your voucher and QR code, you can either print it or download it onto your phone. Suppose you print it, does that already serve as the ticket to the park? Or do you still have to exchange said voucher for an actual ticket?
Yes, the QR code can be scanned to enter the ticket gate. No need to swap it for an actual ticket. We've only used digital vouchers on my phone, and I just scan my phone at the gate. 🌺 Heidi
@@johndavidco8501 For Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea, you can ONLY display the tickets on your smartphone at the ticket gate. No printed tickets are accepted. Before visiting the park, install the Disney Resort app on your phone. If you purchase tickets through Klook, they will send a QR code voucher. Before visiting the park you can scan the QR code with the Disney app to link your tickets to the app. (I will be doing that step today.) You may then need to display your tickets at entry through the Disney app. www.tokyodisneyresort.jp/en/ticket/info/sitechange.html
When you buy the Express pass for USJ from Klook, how far in advance can you scan it into the app ? Like if i were to buy the pass a month in advance, do i scan it in immediately or wait until closer to the date ? Also does it matter if i already have a year pass?
I have LOVED all your Universal Studios Japan videos! Quick question: my wife and I are going in September and purchased the Express pass 7. We have only 1 day in Osaka and we were hoping that we could get out of the park by 5pm to tour the city. We were assigned specific time of 7-7:30pm for the Dream Backdrop ride, and was wondering if you know if there's any possibility that we'd be able to get the time changed to an earlier time? Thank you!
Hi. Sorry, but I don’t think they will allow you to change the time slot. You could wait in the regular line for that ride. I know it defeats paying for the Express Pass, but it might get you out of the park sooner. Have a wonderful time at USJ! 🌺 Heidi
Hello, excuse me, I have my trip scheduled for June but I have all the doubts, do I have to buy a day studio pass plus the express pass if I want to enter Super Mario? In klook I only get Universal Express Pass 4 ~Fun・Ride~, is this the one I should buy? Excuse my questions but I don't quite understand it. Thankkkkkksss!!!
Hi! A Studio Pass is required to enter Universal Studios Japan. We were able to enter Super Nintendo World with just a studio pass, using the tips we shared in this other video: th-cam.com/video/wT9e6PYLQts/w-d-xo.html If you want to be certain that you will get a time slot to enter Super Nintendo World, you can purchase an Express Pass. The Universal Express Pass 4 Fun Ride includes an Area Timed Entry Ticket to Super Nintendo World and Admission to Yoshi's Adventure ride. It doesn't guarantee admission to Mario Kart ride. The Universal Express Pass 4 Limited and Variety Choice includes an Area Timed Entry Ticket to Super Nintendo World and Admission to Mario Kart. Start by selecting "All Dates" and then scrolling to June. The Express Passes do sell out!
Hi. On the official USJ website I'm only seeing Adult, Child, or Senior tickets. Here is info on the USJ website about their efforts to be barrier-free: www.usj.co.jp/web/en/us/service-guide/barrier-free/information
@KenshoQuest I ended up just buying a regular ticket, my friend who I'm going with was saying I could buy a disability ticket cause they can claim me as like a assistant although it only seemed to be avaliable with disneysea. Since she has a disability
Hello! thx for the info! Do you know when and how you can add the studio pass to the USJ app? I tried but it keeps saying that my pass is invalid. I bought them yesterday. Do i just have to wait a few days or is it just not possible to add klook tickets on the app?
Hi. I read that it’s best to wait a day before trying to add them to the app, as they need time to process. We were able to add our Klook tickets to the USJ app the day of our visit.
Hello, I’m able to purchase the entrance tickets on Klook, but not the express pass since they haven’t released for the rest of September yet. Is it ok to purchase the entrance tickets now and then express pass once their up?
Yes, you certainly can link tickets purchased from Klook to the USJ app. There is an option either to scan the QR codes or to upload a photo of the voucher. I will be showing that process in my next video with tips for visiting USJ in the summer.
Yes. You can purchase a regular ticket for Universal Studios Japan (1 Day Studio Pass). Then once inside USJ, you can use either the USJ app on your phone, or a kiosk, to get an Area Timed Entry Ticket for Super Nintendo World, as long as they aren’t all taken already!
We appreciate when you purchase USJ tickets through our Klook affiliate link: kenshoquest.com/recommends/usj-studio-pass/
hi. Will i be assigned the same designated entry time (exmple Mario Kart ) if i buy multiple express ticket?
@@mijanps1153 If you purchase multiple of the same type of Express Passes at the same time from Klook it is likely but not guaranteed that you will be assigned the same times. An alternative is to purchase directly from USJ, where you can choose the time slot: www.usjticketing.com/expressPass
@@KenshoQuest thank you!
I got to say that getting tickets for Super Nintendo World and USJ is the most complex theme park ticket system i've ever experianced
😅 I wish it wasn't so complicated!
So how do I book the ticket for Super Mario World ?
I don’t know why they need to make it so complicated. Makes my brain hurt 😃
Agreed. A total failure by them to make things simple and easy. Embarrassingly complicated.
Thanks for sharing your experience!
Can I grab tickets for Kinopios cafe in the cafe to later return?
@@DDHDTV we actually did that but maybe because it was too busy, they make a line just to get a turn to come back later
Thank you so much for this video-it was incredibly helpful! It’s not easy to find clear and well-explained guides on the ticketing process, but you made it all very easy to understand. I really appreciate you taking the time to create this!
You're welcome! We have lots of videos here on Kensho Quest to help with Japan travel.
Thank you! I was confused on how to buy the day pass and the express pass. This was very well explained
Glad to help! Will you visit USJ soon? I also made a video with tips for visiting USJ in the summer: th-cam.com/video/TQ7-nILdzeU/w-d-xo.html
Thank you so much for sharing this, just in time for our trip! Booked through your link last night :)
Thanks for using our link! Have fun at USJ! 🍄
🌺Heidi
i also had this issue, try it a couple of times. After 4 times trying it went through.
THANK YOU for this video! It made things way more clear.

thanks for all the detailed information in the video. Do i need to buy a ticket for my kid who is 3 yr and 10 month old at the time of visiting?
Hi. Children who are 3-years-old and younger do not require a ticket for Universal Studios Japan. So, no.
Very helpful information . Thank you.
So I am planning to get the express pass, do I need to buy the entry ticket as well?
Yes. You still need to buy an entry ticket called a “Studio Pass”.
Japan also does have a 1 year annual pass that you can buy, but the catch is that you will need to have a japanese residence.
Hey! Do you have any video or guide about how to buy Ghibli Park and Museum tickets ? This one was super helpful!
Hi, we are slowly working on it! In the mean time, you can purchase your tickets directly, but do this as far in advance as possible to be sure you get tickets:
ghibli-park.jp/en/ticket/
www.ghibli-museum.jp/en/tickets/
Hi, thanks for the explanation but I'd like to inquire the following:
Thank you so much for this video. It helped me a lot!!
You're welcome! Will you visit Universal Studios Japan soon? 🌺 Heidi
2 questions:
1) Do I have to print both the Studio Pass and the QR code to claim the area timed ticket? Or will digital versions on phone be sufficient?
2) Do I still have to purchase anything else to get into the Harry Potter land?
Hi. You do not need to print the QR code for your studio pass, you can scan it directly from your phone at the ticket gate. Please follow the directions you were provided regarding the Area Timed Entry Ticket. If the Area Timed Entry is for Harry Potty, you don't need anything else to enter. Here's one of our other videos about USJ: th-cam.com/video/TQ7-nILdzeU/w-d-xo.html
Hi there, thanks for the info. At the end of the video, you mention scanning the QR code using the USJ app. Can you explain further?
They are from last year but mostly still apply:

Thanks for sharing. What are the package typesA,B, or C on Klook?
A, B, C are just various seasonal prices. With “A” being low season and “D” being high season and the most expensive tickets.
🌺 Heidi
very very important what time they go on sale in san diego. ? 4am i know is 2 months advance but no one knows the time becouse they get sold out fast
Sorry, I’m not sure.
Will I be able to pick my timed entry for the express pass to Nintendo and Harry Potter world?
If you purchase an Express Pass from Klook, the time slots will be randomly chosen and shown on your voucher. If you want to choose specific time slots, it's better to order from the USJ website. 🌺 Heidi
Thank you for the information
I see that I'm not able to book for August via Klook. Is this normal? Is it already sold out ? Do you know?
Tickets are only available two months in advance. August tickets have not yet been released.
Oh what a relief thanks @Kensho Quest
So I clicked on one day studio pass. Didn’t see the a b or c options like it was mentioned here, did it on my phone. If I get just the one day pass is that enough?
Yes, the 1 Day Studio Pass is enough.
if you buy an express pass do you also need to purchase a studio pass? or does the express pass also include the studio pass?
Hi. Even if you buy an Express Pass you still need to buy a Studio Pass, which is basically your admission ticket.
Would you book ur tickets first or the Express pass first? i see the express passes on Klook have exact dates they release
Probably the Express Passes first, since they sell out quickly. You will still need need to buy a Studio Pass.
🌺 Heidi
@@KenshoQuest Thanks Heidi!
I will take a second look at that voucher I might have missed that

You can’t do both Super Nintendo and Harry Potter world on the same single day?
How do u tell them or show ur ticket that u Alr bought it online?
You can scan the QR code at the entrance gate.
I think the Express Pass is only good for one day.
@@KenshoQuest I see, thanks for the reply. I saw on the video you guys had a 2 years old when you guys were in Universal, we have 3 kids and the youngest is 2 as well, will be 3 when we go next year. Sorry, I’ve never gotten the food and shopping coupon.
Hello! If I purchase multiple express passes for my family, are we guaranteed the same timed entry? Or is there a possibility that our express passes will differ and have varying timed entries?
Hi. If you purchase them all at once from Klook, hopefully they will be for the same time slots, but no guarantees.
When I was there a year ago it was possible to wait in line to buy tickets at the gate. I'm not sure if they accept cash.

Looking to buy tickets, I can't find the super nintendo world option? How come that isn't there hope you can help.
Hi. The 1 Day Studio Pass + Super Nintendo World is not always offered. Right now I’m seeing it on the Klook app for Sept 24 or Oct 5.
Do you happen to know if the window to purchase USJ Express Passes is 60 days or 2 months? And what time of day does that window open? Is it something like 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM Japan Standard Time?
Sorry, I don’t know those details.
if I buy 4 express passes do I need to buy 4 regular tickets for the same day?
Yes! The regular ticket (1 Day Studio Pass) is required to enter Universal Studios Japan. The Express Pass just gets you on the rides faster.
@@KenshoQuest Thank you for answering! One last question if I buy 4 express passes on the same cart, is it guaranteed to all have the same attraction times?

I believe that is correct, and nothing needs to be done to change the ticket voucher. Our voucher says "Ticket Price A" and shows a calendar of dates and says "Valid for 1 day on the date printed A on the calendar". To be extra certain, you might want to contact Klook to verify. 🌺 Heidi

This is our plan, we surely need your advice if this is a good plan :
No express pass.

Hi
I have a question.
🌸 Heidi
@ Thank you very much I really appreciate it 🙏🏽
Hi, if I don't receive an email with my QR codes from Klook after my studio day pass purchase, but can see the QR code on the app (also says booking confirmed), does that mean it's good to go?
It should be fine ,since it's in the app.
We shared lots of tips in this other video:

so frustrating bc there is no timed entry options on klook... im pre-booking for april first :(
When they do offer “1 Day Studios Pass + Area Timed Entry for SNW” it is super limited such as one or two days per month. Sorry.
@KenshoQuest yea customer support said that they (USJ) wasn't offering it anymore. I found a bunch of threads on reddit that no one can get the pre-bought time entry now.
How do you add your e-tickets to the usj app!
Thank you, it’s because when I ordered w tickets online they just gave me confirmation with a qr code only to be scan at the gate, not unlike disney sea they send my barcode on my email.
@@topeonekenobi6878 Yes, that QR code can be scanned at the gate to enter USJ. You just need to link it to the app to use features like getting a Timed Entry Ticket.
🌺 Heidi
@@KenshoQuest Thank you for your kind reply, do you have a list of which ride I can go with my baby?
I think the only ride a baby can go on at Universal Studios Japan is Hello Kitty's Cupcake Dream in the Wonderland area. www.usj.co.jp/web/en/us/attractions/hello-kittys-cupcake-dream@@ozfunfacts
Hi @@KenshoQuest if only half my group have the express pass and we scan all tickets in 1 phone, do you think everyone can get the same Area Timed Entry Ticket? It is better to scan everyone's ticket in 1 app or separately?
It's best to scan everyone's tickets into one phone, to get Area Timed Entry together. The people who have an Express Pass may also have an assigned Area Timed Entry on their pass. But they could try using the app to get one together with the group. Here's my more recent video with tips for USJ: th-cam.com/video/TQ7-nILdzeU/w-d-xo.html@@ozfunfacts
Some of the dates are crossed out which means they are sold out. What about the blurred ones? Are they gonna be available as time approaches?
Hi! The dates may be grayed out for a couple reasons. Either it's a different category of ticket than you have selected, in which case you can toggle at the top "Switch off to show prices for all packages". Or it's for a date more than two months out, so the tickets are not yet available for purchase. Hope that helps. 🌺 Heidi
It works in Spain? Can i buy tickets being from spanish in ur website, thank you!
It should work fine to purchase from Klook.
Fantastic just about to book.
How about some of the other passes like a bundle for Tokyo on Klook? Or the Osaka pass?
Hi. The official USJ website now accepts foreign credit cards, so you may be able to purchase Express Passes directly through USJ.
Thanks for the prompt response!@@KenshoQuest
Hi, what time are available tickets online to buy? I know 2 months in advance, but 12 Am japan time? Please help, i need express passes for 22 nov :(
Sorry, I'm not sure exactly what time the Express Passes are released. Here's the official website for buying them through USJ: www.usjticketing.com/expressPass
The Super Nintendo World tickets seem to sell out immediately when tickets for the month are released
They say tickets for October 11 onwards will be released on august 11 but don’t say when
Sorry, I don't know exactly when Klook releases tickets.
But it's only going to get more crowded and competitive as the summer progresses! 🌺 Heidi
@@KenshoQuest thank you so much for replying, it’s really appreciated! Guess we’re in for an early start 😂 we’re going in a Thursday in October so hopefully shouldn’t be too packed
Will the studio pass give me entrace to Harry potter?
Yes, the Studio Pass covers admission to Harry Potter World. However, if it is busy that day, they may require an Area Timed Entry Ticket to get into HP. Once you are inside USJ, an Area Timed Entry can be obtained for free from a kiosk or using the USJ app on your phone. 🌺 Heidi
What's the best time to check tickets? I check everyday and it seems like it's always sold out in September. My date is almost here and don't want to miss out.
Hi! I believe that tickets for Universal Studios Japan are normally released for the following two months, so currently tickets are available for June, July, and August. I am seeing that tickets for September appear sold out on Klook, but I don’t think they’ve actually been released yet. The current USJ price calendar shows through August. www.usj.co.jp/ticket/common/studiopass/price-calendar.html I would check on July 1 for September tickets. 🌺 Heidi
Hi, I got tickets and fast passes from Klook but when I try to scan the QR codes in the USJ app, it says the tickets are invalid. I contacted Klook and they said I can only scan the QR codes the day of entry at the park. You ended the video saying the tickets can be scanned into the app; should I be concerned that my tickets won’t scan into the app?
Hi. Sometimes you have to wait until the next day to scan the Studio Pass into the app. Or, like Klook said, you may need to wait until the day of your visit to USJ. The Express Passes do not get scanned into the app. Here's my more recent video on visiting USJ: th-cam.com/video/TQ7-nILdzeU/w-d-xo.html
If i buy the express pass 7, when will they send me the exact entry time to get inside nintendo world ?
If you purchase the Express Pass from Klook, the voucher they email to you will have the time slots on it. If you purchase directly from USJ, you can choose the time slots. 🌺 Heidi
@@KenshoQuest thank you so much for the help.
@@KenshoQuest ok by purchasing the SNW + 1D SP; i do no thave to buy the timed entry ticket for SNW on the day i arrived at the park? thanks
Yes, If you purchase SNW +1D SP, you will not need to reserve an Area Timed Entry Ticket (which is free to get at the park) on the day of your visit. @@ddiesel1836
@@KenshoQuest thank you so much. that was very helpful!
by the way, have you heared of the early entry tickets? for an added cost, i can supposedly enter the USJ 15 minutes early? do i really need this if i arrive as early as you did? thanks
Your channel has been very helpful for planning our trip. Just wanted to add that similar to another commenter it doesn't appear I can add my tickets to the USJ app ahead of time. It mentions that I have to "...select the QR code of your today's valid Studio Pass." So I'm guessing, as you did, I can only add on the day off. It's been over a week since I've purchased the Studio Pass on Klook.
I wonder if they recently updated the app. When we visited in July 2023, I was able to link the tickets ahead of time. Within the app, I went to "My Universal" then "Timed Entry eTicket" then "Register Park Passes". I showed the process step by step in our latest USJ video: th-cam.com/video/TQ7-nILdzeU/w-d-xo.html
@@KenshoQuest yup, just watched this last night. Tried to add it right after purchasing a week or so ago. Didn’t work. And thought that was the issue after watching your video. Tried scanning and uploading a picture but still received that “todays valid studio pass” error.
@@thebourboncollect874 Thanks for those details! If all else fails, you can try scanning it while waiting in line.
Hi! It's normal that in the voucher attached to the confirmation email there isn't my name under the section: Name (氏名)? Thanks
I think so. My vouchers don’t have a name and they worked just fine. 🌺 Heidi
Wait a sec, so I can buy a 1 day studio pass and when I enter the park a area timed entry ticket for super nintendo world. OR I buy an Express pass where the area timed entry ticket is already included?
Yes. You can buy just a 1 Day Studio Pass and once you enter USJ you can use the USJ app on your phone or a kiosk to schedule a free Area Timed Entry. Or you can buy a 1 Day Studio Pass + Express Pass, which already includes area timed entry (depending upon which express pass you choose).
Alright. Thanks 👍
@@KenshoQuest OK one more question. I bought a 1 day studio pass with the klook app and tried to get an e-area timed entry ticket with the Usj app on my phone. But when I enter the QR code it says that I have to use a "valid" one. Is there something I missed?
@@watchingeye1278 Hi. You may need to wait until the next day to scan the QR code, or maybe until the date of your visit. Do you have any discount codes for usj on klook?
Sorry, our Klook discount code doesn't work for USJ.
I have a ticket for October and they give me slot for entering super nintendo area at 19:20 . Could I go there and let me enter before that time. I am not talking about the ride time.
Hi! That’s really late. What I would do is get in line for Universal Studios Japan at least 1.5 hours before the opening time. So 7:30am if opening time is 9am that day. Then go straight to SNW as soon as the gates open, hopefully around 8:15am. If you’re lucky, you may be able to get into SNW before they restrict access. If you do, you can stay as long as you want. Then you could return later at your designated time slot. We explain about getting into SNW in the video: th-cam.com/video/DIYgItLIIzc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=PQzFgmt0DhtNkY51
Hi 👋 just to check, after i purchase with klook, they will send me an E ticket which i am able to scan ?
Yes, Klook will email a voucher with a QR code that can be scanned.
@@KenshoQuest thanks 🙏
Towards the end of this video, you said once you receive your voucher and QR code, you can either print it or download it onto your phone.
Suppose you print it, does that already serve as the ticket to the park? Or do you still have to exchange said voucher for an actual ticket?
Yes, the QR code can be scanned to enter the ticket gate. No need to swap it for an actual ticket. We've only used digital vouchers on my phone, and I just scan my phone at the gate. 🌺 Heidi
@@KenshoQuest Thank you! It's the same then if you buy a DisneySea ticket via Klook?
@@johndavidco8501 For Tokyo Disneyland and DisneySea, you can ONLY display the tickets on your smartphone at the ticket gate. No printed tickets are accepted. When you buy the Express pass for USJ from Klook, how far in advance can you scan it into the app ? Like if i were to buy the pass a month in advance, do i scan it in immediately or wait until closer to the date ? Also does it matter if i already have a year pass?
Hi. For the Express Pass, I don't think you scan it into the app at all. I think it's separate. I'm not familiar with the annual pass for USJ, sorry.
🌺 Heidi
