I thank God for using this song as an eye opener for me. I also thank God for the life of Pastor Don Moen.
I was born and raised in a Christian household. As a kid, I was exposed on Christian films and Bible Stories. I remember my younger self muttering something against the disobedience of Israelites on their way to the Promise land, the ungratefulness of the 9 lepers who were healed by Jesus, the betrayal, the lies that Peter made. Now, I know that I am never different from them. I complained, I am ungrateful, I lied,and the worst thing I thought of was leaving the Christian faith. I never seek the face of God. I was always after His hands. Also, I am bounded by habitual sexual sin for 21 years. The moment I take a step or two away from it, it will pull me a kilometer closer.
While listening to this song, I felt like I never treated God as my God. I treated Him like my God of convenience. I had this facade that I am treating Him as my God but deep inside, I know that I treated myself better. I am a person filled with pride but I dont want to admit it.
I thank God for opening eyes. Thank you for the chances and thank you for your grace.
