States like Alabama and Mississippi and super conservative states are shitholes will low education, low average income, low HDI scores, opioids, blighted towns, high crime, high poverty, high obesity, low literacy, dirty water, polluted air, shitty infrastructure, shitty schools, ghost towns with no future, etc.

I mean they don’t care that we have the highest medium income in the nation, a low unemployment rate, Both mountains and beaches, etc., not to mention the county with top predominantly black county with the highest income. I don’t get why being a “Conservative” is such a bad thing. I am definitely on the “Right,” but I am not racist/sexist/any other thing like that. Because I am a Christian, I believe that homosexuality and abortion are both morally wrong, HOWEVER, I am not going to stop people from doing what they choose to do. It is America, and people have the “right” to do what they wish (for the most part). I disagree with it, but I do so politely. When it comes to “Illegal Immigrants,” I am against it. I am FOR immigration, but it needs to be LEGAL. I would be willing to loosen up some of our restrictions to make it a little bit easier on people who TRULY want to become AMERICANS though, especially considering some of the knowledge tests that people are supposed to pass are above and beyond what the average (stupid) American “knows.” However, California (Los Angeles and other major cities) is flooded with homeless people. This is rampant across much of the United States. I do believe that we have an obligation to focus first on our poor and homeless before opening up the doors and bringing in more people than we can reasonably handle. If we get our homeless problem fixed and our drug problem fixed, then I would love to bring in more people. The thing is, they need to be quality people who are coming to WORK and HELP our society become better. It’s not about race or religion or gender/sex/sexual orientation, or anything else. It’s about becoming a good American. I really don’t see the big deal. I understand that there are some dumbasses on the right. Sadly. But it is wrong to cluster me into that group. I don’t walk around barefoot with a rebel flag hat and a big gun with a piece of straw sticking out of my mouth. I don’t even own a gun. I am not against guns, I was an MP in the Army for six years. I just don’t feel like I need one. I can protect myself without that, easily. Camden even though is bad does not even make the FBI's top 100 cities by homicide. . I’ve been to all fifty but living in Canada (dual citizen) so I’m not really put off by cold winters like people from California are. If you look at lists of best and happiest countries worldwide and the top spots are always filled with countries that have cold winters like Norway, Sweden, Finland and Canada (not Russia HaHa) therefore personally I don’t think Alaska belongs so high on your list. I have only seen first seven so I haven’t seen your ranking of places like Minnesota or Wisconsin which I like and I imagine that you’ll rank them lower than I would based on their winters. However except for Ak, I absolutely agree with your list to the point that to the extent that before you named each one I’ve thought of which state I’d name and my list would be identical to yours. Hey, I’m actually from Chicago and live in Columbus, OH. I really enjoy Ohio. The people here are just great, we’re like a huge family here. The cost of living is pretty low, health care is excellent as well as the median housing price. The landscape is beautiful and the weather is...let’s say diverse. I think Ohio is underrated and it’s great to live here.

Being from Ohio I can confirm... we cuss a lot and I had to take weekly allergy shots from the age of 5 until I was in the 10th grade my allergies were so bad... I think Ohio is a top half state though. We are a very wealthy state GDP-wise (equivalent to Switzerland), rarely have any natural disasters, decent weather for 9 months of the year if you don’t live on Lake Erie, and we have a lot of attractions. For sure a better state than Iowa and Indiana

I live in Oregon, it’s pathetic beyond the natural beauty. Expensive, crappy jobs (mostly part time), welfare, drugs, homeless and every other thing that goes with living in a heavily Liberal / Progressive state. The most free I have ever felt was living in Nevada, Arizona and Idaho.

He's obviously never been to Morristown, Madison, Princeton, Frenchtown-where I lived-, Lambertville, Stockton, Cape May or LBI. We also have the 2nd wealthiest county in the entire country in Bergen County
Most people who think NJ is bad have clearly never been here or only have been to Newark Airport and took a taxi to NYC. They think the Jersey Shore is real. Outside of Camden, Newark, Trenton, and Paterson our state is great. Statistically we are probably top 10 in most categories, aside from cost of living.

I mean they don’t care that we have the highest medium income in the nation, a low unemployment rate, Both mountains and beaches, etc., not to mention the county with top predominantly black county with the highest income. I don’t get why being a “Conservative” is such a bad thing. I am definitely on the “Right,” but I am not racist/sexist/any other thing like that. Because I am a Christian, I believe that homosexuality and abortion are both morally wrong, HOWEVER, I am not going to stop people from doing what they choose to do. It is America, and people have the “right” to do what they wish (for the most part). I disagree with it, but I do so politely. When it comes to “Illegal Immigrants,” I am against it. I am FOR immigration, but it needs to be LEGAL. I would be willing to loosen up some of our restrictions to make it a little bit easier on people who TRULY want to become AMERICANS though, especially considering some of the knowledge tests that people are supposed to pass are above and beyond what the average (stupid) American “knows.” However, California (Los Angeles and other major cities) is flooded with homeless people. This is rampant across much of the United States. I do believe that we have an obligation to focus first on our poor and homeless before opening up the doors and bringing in more people than we can reasonably handle. If we get our homeless problem fixed and our drug problem fixed, then I would love to bring in more people. The thing is, they need to be quality people who are coming to WORK and HELP our society become better. It’s not about race or religion or gender/sex/sexual orientation, or anything else. It’s about becoming a good American.

If you look at lists of best and happiest countries worldwide and the top spots are always filled with countries that have cold winters like Norway, Sweden, Finland and Canada (not Russia HaHa) therefore personally I don’t think Alaska belongs so high on your list. I have only seen first seven so I haven’t seen your ranking of places like Minnesota or Wisconsin which I like and I imagine that you’ll rank them lower than I would based on their winters. I really enjoy Ohio. The people here are just great, we’re like a huge family here.
The cost of living is pretty low, health care is excellent as well as the median housing price.
The landscape is beautiful and the weather is...let’s say diverse. I think Ohio is underrated and it’s great to live here.

Being from Ohio I can confirm... we cuss a lot and I had to take weekly allergy shots from the age of 5 until I was in the 10th grade my allergies were so bad... I think Ohio is a top half state though. We are a very wealthy state GDP-wise (equivalent to Switzerland), rarely have any natural disasters, decent weather for 9 months of the year if you don’t live on Lake Erie, and we have a lot of attractions. For sure a better state than Iowa and Indiana

I think western and northern NJ are beautiful. Very desirable places to live, if it weren’t so goddamn expensive.
Most people who think NJ is bad have clearly never been here or only have been to Newark Airport and took a taxi to NYC. They think the Jersey Shore is real. Outside of Camden, Newark, Trenton, and Paterson our state is great. Statistically we are probably top 10 in most categories, aside from cost of living.
