The best "SMG" in this game now is Type 25. I've been using it for almost half a year now with the stopping power ammo. It has impressive ttk and much better range than almost all SMGs which is important if you want to keep your distance from shotgun players. Never seen anyone using it though.

These days I have been playing mostly with burst weapons. Tech-9 is a prime candidate for SMG, it could be defeated by CX-9 but the mag size is too low. The pharo has this weird recoil that you can't even use it for hipfire. The chicom is just slow. For AR definitely M-16. You could even build it as a hipfire gun and hipfire up to 20m. The Swordfish just uses up too much ammo to kill in long ranges, the moment you realize you have low count. For shotgun, well there's only one, and it all shreds. Been bored with repetitive meta guns lately. But when I get sweaty I whip out my 117 lol. I've also been trying some weird guns like the thermite MoW, it sucks bcoz the tick damage don't apply when the opponent is knocked.

Imagine jumping from a helicopter in the middle of a squad. If you have an SMG, you have no chance, but if you have a Shangan, 4 clicks are enough.
61.1+61.1+101.1(burst delay)+61.1+61.1+61.1+101.1(burst delay)+ 61.1+61.1+61.1= 691 not that impressive TTK, but if you like to move between shots like hitting them with a burst(bursts are coming out fast) then do some movement and hit them again, only then tec9 is useful. I guess🤷♂️
Long range mod is much better for SMG tbh, hipfire gives higher chance of headshot aim assist so an additional dmg from the mod's multipliers makes it kill faster.
Gonna be honest. This is by far the best smg in br if you use it right. It's basically a burst sks if it was an smg. The weapon shreds and jesus it sounds so heavy and terrifying too. I personally use it myself and people literally get deleted. Btw with legendary long shot, this has the fastest ttk out of any weapon other than snipers and shotguns, assuming you hit headshot because damn they vanish
This gun is amazing in MP so much so i accidently got top 100 leaderboard. Becuase of the leaderboard, ive been forcing myself to use it in BR but havent noticed it perfoming extremely well. This is good news for me!! Thanks!

It's because SMGs are far inferior to shotguns and even some ARs when it comes to close range encounters. Also a lot of comp. players prefer to use AR + sniper combo. In general, apart from Marksman Rifles, SMG is the worst guns type in BR these days. Partially because hipfiring itself is bad due to it's decreasing accuracy when firing.

I think you're referring to the wild hipfire attachment .. u can add it in the gunsmith and it increases your hipfire accuracy while jumping or sliding .. I don't use it anymore though

Yea tec9 burst is literally in a rank of its own. It just makes every other smg obsolete. Ask any br stat analyst and he will tell you so, myself included I do wanna make a suggestion graph/analysis wise. Basing ttk off of body parts is inaccurate. You are better off presenting all possoble ttks and what body parts you need to hit to get them(e.g. on s36 in first range if you hit just body shots you get 720ms, but if you hit 1 headshot+7 body shots you get 640ms ttk, on that note with mg42 nerf s36 is meta again)

How does it compare to the OTS? The OTS has the best balance of close range and range for an smg while having unparalleled hipfire accuracy.
