    I’ve been using henna for years. At first I thought my curls were loosening in the front so I stopped however I realized my hair in the front is a different curl pattern so I went back to henna and my hair loves it 😁

    Thanks for the video. My herbs came in early yesterday so I mixed a tiny batch of henna and let the dye release and then I applied it to a small section of my hair for 2 hours with heat to speed the process up. This allowed me to get a peek preview of how my hair responded and the color. I waited 24 hours and I didn’t notice any loosing of my 3c curls. Doing this patch test really helped me get an idea of what to expect before I applied it all over my head.

    Imma try it on a small small section of my head and see how it reacts before putting it all in my head!

    Henna never destroyed my hair or curl pattern ,in fact it gave me some curl boost which I love ,the only thing that kinda annoys me about henna is that it's kinda drying i don't how it's smoothening or like moisturising (maybe because my hair is already a little on the dry side),the first 2 weeks after dying it my strands becomes kinda dry but later it becomes normal and the colors starts to show more,the copper hues are just amazing,i love it .♥️♥️ it's 10better than chemical box dyes I'm never doing those again ,henna is the best thing that happened to me

    I'm getting ready to try henna and indigo with a little aloe vera powder in it for the first time. I'm wanting to cover my grays and hopefully get a brownish color. I have very curly tangly hair so I don't mind if it loosens my curl pattern a bit. It might make detangling easier

    Great snippet as usual. 😊 Thankfully this hasn't happened with my hair over the years. Henna elongates at application and reverts to type once I've rinsed it away and put my leave-in conditioner in.
    I do feel like fenugreek is tightening my curl pattern now though. I'm not very excited about that. I love the thickness it's bringing but feel like tighter curls take too much attention. 😫😫😫 I'm not accustomed to that kind of time and detail with my hair and not about that life! 😭 Now I wish henna would actually elongate - back to my own curl pattern.

      Thats so weird, i have had the opposite experience. Fenugreek straightened my hair, and the next wash i did henna and its curly now.

    Henna does not ruin curls.
    It actually extremely helps really ruined curls. I used to have super curly hair but due to some auto immune issues and stress I lost a lot of hair and it was very damaged.
    After using henna it has helped my curls start to come back but I have noticed it greatly reduces frizz which does lead to a “looser” curl but it is a curl which is more compact and not frizzy.

    I want my curl pattern to be a little bit looser. What products what I use for that?

  • @lockergr
    @lockergr 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    So waves no more? I need to buy whatever it was that combats this, but it says amla can change your hair’s wave or curl as well. I don't have a curl pattern in all of my hair. Some ringlet curls, lots of wave and some stick straight.

    I've been using henna and indigo to cover greys for 4 years and I love the color! BUT my once corkscrew curls are gone and it feels like I've tried everything to be able to continue using henna....aloe vera juice instead of water, Amla, Cassia and less henna... nothing works! I have fine curly hair and I think that the henna is weighing it down. If there is anything else to try, thank you for letting me know 😊

    Can I die my hair over my henna without removing henna

  • @indy3240
    @indy3240 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Henna took away my curls it was crazy where my hair was so smooth but it was all straight. I missed my curls so so much. I was also told that I shouldn’t put it all over the shaft each application
    So the question is
    Can you perm your hair if you are a henna user
    Obviously not right away but is that a possibility
