The thing about napom is i am just used to napom not using good audio setup and just recording with phone camera...just feels raw and natural and just shows that he can still be one of the top wildcard among those who have good audio.
No inward bass, poly, water droplets, meow squeaks, whistles... just a fuck ton of drums in a mind blowing amount of different patterns at ludicrous speeds!

Some others have occasionally come back and there are people who have tried and come close a number of times. But Napom’s the only one I can think of who worked to get to the top and has kept competing almost every year since.

I wouldn’t diminish how others have stayed active in the scene and improved other ways as musicians. I do think the way Napom has participated in 1 big international competition in the solo category every year since his win, with the exception of 2019, and many smaller ones is rather unique. And I think the fact his solo beatbox continues to improve and stay so high level year to year is tied to that same persistence.

Look at ICE, Remix, and ZVD theyre excellent beatboxers but theyre exposing their creativity abilities because their routines are almost like a Bon Jovi song different but almost exactly the same.
