I can just imagine how infuriating to have keep redrawing a head because it looks wonky and then turning your head and seeing an artist who is 10x better.I think I can understand how you feel.No matter how many times people say “Oh don’t compare yourselves to others!” It’s really hard not to since this mindset we have in our head keeps telling us how awful we are weigh drawings.If it makes you feel better all the greatest artists/animators started off with uneven heads and bodies.Its alright if it takes a while to get to point YIY what to be at but for me atleast, it makes me feel wayyy better when I look at how people started off making drawings and how drastically they changed after a decade or two of hard work!Just wanted to comment on how bloody underrated you are?I’m totally sending your videos to my friends. If this helps make you feel better in any way, all the artist we compare ourselves with went through the same experience. No one is born being excellent at it, even if it seems like that, and “talent” is just an excuse to cover all the hard work behind one’s abilities. You have to keep practicing and trying, pushing yourself to create beautiful things with your creativity and mind. No type of art is perfect, because that doesn’t exist. Every piece of art is incredibly unique and beautiful. But most importantly, you need to remember to have fun with what you’re doing. It’s common that when you start comparing yourself with others, you start loosing your motivation to keep on doing the things you like. So just remember that art is supposed to be fun, not stressful. And don’t let anyone’s opinion ruin yours about it. Btw, I think your art is amazing! Keep going! ❤
