I've never understood how multiple utility companies can use the same gas lines and electricity lines. I mean no matter which company you pay the electricity and gas all takes the same route into your house. clearly they're covering up a monopoly by setting up different companies, so gas and lec doesn't look monopolised, to do the same thing and I bet they own all the companies

Hats off to you, chap. However, unless one person is talking at a time then it's pretty hard to follow the dialogue for practical use in the future. Make sure that next time you and your mate tag team on the questions and there aren't two different conversations going on at the same time. Alternatively get two cameras running simultaneously filming two concurrent conversations then splice them together in post prod. Other than that, keep up the good work.

I lived very close to E17 and when I did I didn't have a metre fitted and would be charged a lot lot more than I did when I later moved into a place with a Metre. The price difference is huge. Why I don't know >?? But now it's much cheaper than it was when it was just billed. And I can only use what I can pay for.
I had the same thing with an electric company, you have a right to change suppliers whenever you want within a time frame of signing a contract, you have a get out clause. Transfer your supplier they can't stop you contract or no contract. The pre paid meters don't belong to them and if they say they do, your new supplier will put their own in. I have done it a couple of times now. Nothing they can do its a competitive world they do each other over. Say you have just moved in.= although you don't need to really.

Brian there’s a video on TH-cam about a guy fighting payment of council tax. He had a summons from a court on a date that he attended but wasn’t allowed access to, even though it was a case regarding himself. It transpired the court is operating behind closed doors with no members of the public being allowed access. The worse and dodgiest thing transpired when he researched the name of the clerk that sign the summons. The court clerk of justice had retired years prior to his case and so they were using a photocopied signature of someone whom no longer even worked there. The council hired the court for the day, as it does every week apparently. The whole system is corrupt to screw the little man out of money. Just like the tv license council tax income tax Ect Ect Ect. The law is for the little man. The rich sorry sick and famous rich and powerful don’t have to pay taxes look at Costa coffee for instance. The system stinks. Can’t believe they fucked your career for one daft comment. Look at Noel Gallagher and Liam whom admitted putting coke on their cornflakes. Robbie Williams for instance. Went outta control hanging out with the Gallagher and even tried to join oasis after his band split. So many do daft things and have been forgiven. The really sick thing about this is that the utility companies shove people deeper in the hole - the amounts friends pay on key meters horrifies me; they pay around three tikes as much as I do, with access to none of the discounts such as direct debit payments. So those struggling to pay are essentially charged far more. Its easy to point and laugh at the big ex-pop star but he's obviously struggling - if schaedenfreude tastes sweet to you, I hope you never face it. There is a serious injustice here, targetting some of the most vulnerable in society - whatever you think of this guy, he's highlighting something important that we should all acknowledge. Privatised utilities = punishing the consumer for profit for the few.

And its mostly the poor, those on social housing and pensioners who pay. Hats off to you, chap. However, unless one person is talking at a time then it's pretty hard to follow the dialogue for practical use in the future. Make sure that next time you and your mate tag team on the questions and there aren't two different conversations going on at the same time. Alternatively get two cameras running simultaneously filming two concurrent conversations then splice them together in post prod. Other than that, keep up the good work.

I lived very close to E17 and when I did I didn't have a metre fitted and would be charged a lot lot more than I did when I later moved into a place with a Metre. The price difference is huge. Why I don't know >?? But now it's much cheaper than it was when it was just billed. And I can only use what I can pay for.
I had the same thing with an electric company, you have a right to change suppliers whenever you want within a time frame of signing a contract, you have a get out clause. Transfer your supplier they can't stop you contract or no contract. The pre paid meters don't belong to them and if they say they do, your new supplier will put their own in. I have done it a couple of times now. Nothing they can do its a competitive world they do each other over. Say you have just moved in.= although you don't need to really.

Brian there’s a video on TH-cam about a guy fighting payment of council tax. He had a summons from a court on a date that he attended but wasn’t allowed access to, even though it was a case regarding himself. It transpired the court is operating behind closed doors with no members of the public being allowed access. The worse and dodgiest thing transpired when he researched the name of the clerk that sign the summons. The court clerk of justice had retired years prior to his case and so they were using a photocopied signature of someone whom no longer even worked there. The council hired the court for the day, as it does every week apparently.
The whole system is corrupt to screw the little man out of money. Just like the tv license council tax income tax Ect Ect Ect. The law is for the little man. The rich sorry sick and famous rich and powerful don’t have to pay taxes look at Costa coffee for instance. The system stinks. Can’t believe they fucked your career for one daft comment. Look at Noel Gallagher and Liam whom admitted putting coke on their cornflakes. Robbie Williams for instance. Went outta control hanging out with the Gallagher and even tried to join oasis after his band split. So many do daft things and have been forgiven. The really sick thing about this is that the utility companies shove people deeper in the hole - the amounts friends pay on key meters horrifies me; they pay around three tikes as much as I do, with access to none of the discounts such as direct debit payments. So those struggling to pay are essentially charged far more. Its easy to point and laugh at the big ex-pop star but he's obviously struggling - if schaedenfreude tastes sweet to you, I hope you never face it. There is a serious injustice here, targetting some of the most vulnerable in society - whatever you think of this guy, he's highlighting something important that we should all acknowledge. Privatised utilities = punishing the consumer for profit for the few.

So I think he's barking up the wrong tree on that part, but I'm not sure. I'm also not sure the contract name mix-up matters, if he signed it. But there IS a legal difficulty if he was pissed or under mental duress,,and knowing how these salesmen behave I get why he's so fucked off - let them through the door and they don't go away. I stayed away from the pegal issues in ky comment because I'm not sure, whereas I know key meters are an abomination. Why do the poorest in society pay more and have less access to discounts? And its mostly the poor, those on social housing and pensioners who pay. And its often pensioners that are confuzzled by shiny sales reps (those guys really are pushy) who then get in a horrific mess. And its pensioners who turn the heating off in fear of the bills. Hideous. I honestly don't know about BH, but he's said before he's bipolar (and acts it, I do believe him just from seeing how he behaves) and depressed people often can't deal with opening post. I really don't know how much of this is down to that, but, like you say, we've all got to deal with this crap and I agree with you that the contract name mix-up is him trying it on.
