It pains me to see that such a magnificent ship now sails with welds sticking out causing drag, I know it's a small detail but even if it would save 0.1% of fuel, it's be worth doing. Also fatigue strength of a ground weld is much much much better than the welds you see here.

Deck space is for RHIBS and equipment as well as storage room for seized fishing nets.
There is also a lot more work to be done to the boat. That deck wont look so empty in a couple of months.

+Rob Palmer no, the sea axe design is meant to cut through the waves. It makes it faster and consume less fuel. This ship can go 3,100nm @ 30 knots.
