The best adjective for Tabu is UNBOTHERED. She's that cool auntie that doesn't give a shit. She does whatever she wants... she shows up on set, does the best that she can, and then goes home. She laughs and jokes and has a good time...Everything else is whatever.

I've been waiting to see Tabu in a interview like that for quite some time. It was nice hearing her talking about her choices as an actress. She seems to be in full control of her career since the very beginning. Anupama did a specially good job on putting her to speak about her views on what the public and the industry think about her. And I didn't know she was so easy going! We often assume that a person who works in "serious" movies doesn't have a great sense of humour. I loved her work in Haider. I mean, the woman made us all believe that she was Shahid Kapoor's mother. Her character was bold, intriguing, dubious and maternal. Few people could deliver such a complex part so beautifully. Keep up the good job, people. Salutes from Brazil :)

Tabu is my favourite since the very beginning. But I remember, my hostel mates and most of my friends asked me as "Who is she" whenever I mentioned her as my favourite. They all were so occupied with other actors like Kajol, Rani, Aishwarya etc🙄. who are by far average in terms of Acting talent. Now when they realised that she is a powerhouse and an amazing person, I feel so proud of her.
My mom actually grew up in the same town as Tabu in Hyderabad, my mom was friends with Tabu sister who'd bring Tabu along to the movie theaters where my mom would see them. She said back then Tabu was really quiet but strikingly beautiful even at a young age. According to my mom, because tabu was on the acting track, one day she just stopped seeing Tabu since she probably got busy. Iono why this story hella stuck with me. Maybe cause my mom and her are similar sort of? Acting took tabu away from the movie theater at a young age and marriage took my mom from Hyderabad at a young age. I think what if tabu and my mom cross paths would she remember, and if she had to be reminded would she smile and just go about her day or would it make her long for a simpler time? Iono, just thought I'd share this
