- You can get infinite tessellation shots. Tessellation lets you consume your grenade to get a really powerful shot that explodes on impact. But if you pop your song of flame super, tessellation will not consume your grenade charge at all, allowing you to shoot the powerful shot over and over with no cooldown for the entire duration of your super.

That's pretty much the base functionality of the weapon without even having to use a super though.. cuz it gives you grenade energy depending on the amount of kills you get.
This is using Mantle of Battle Harmony on Stasis with Agers Cepter. I can dig it
It never gives you full grenade unless there’s a super clump of Adds, at which point it’s just better to use a primary add clear if there are that many.
Tbh I see this being good against small HP bosses or even bigger bosses
@@sachiko6530any group of around 4 ads will give the full charge back which is most content. Just gotta use it at the opportune moment and have smart aim

Tess’s super shot does rocket launcher damage. I was working on the catalyst and regularly hit enemies for 90k a shot. And it only takes 5ish enemies to fully refund the grenade normally.

Not infinite since every shot consumes a bullet from the magazine which is like 6 or 7, did this build with mothkeepers on strand hunter with 3 grenade slots and "grenade energy by given damage" fragment, which was fun but not op, and what I feel like is the max output tesselation can have

There was actually a glitch I played around with a while before final shape was released with tessellation, whenever you had gunpowder gamble, or titans shield wall grenade available- you could infinitely infuse grenades. Eventually this got patched however.
I haven’t seen anyone talk about it but its actually pretty good if your good at dps rotations. Running prismatic void nades with that artifact that makes them more powerful + song of flame doesnt override the damage type + cancelling the animation halfway with a rocket that reloads on stow somehow = 11 powerful weakening shots and good dps.

Absolutely. It reminds me of the days back in D1 with the solar Warlock, but on crack. As a Warlock main, getting that new super made me so happy.
You’re better just using the super
Use the exotic warlock bond with Apothosis and Star Earer to use an extra damaging nova bomb while getting a butt ton of grenade energy after the super is cast

Funny thing is even if they fix it to consume the grenade the super charges it so quickly it'd barely matter.
Although i do like throwing a grenade before I shoot so that wouldn't work anymore.

And if you are using dawn chorus it will increase scorch effectiveness. Literally detonating the whole arena

The Barrie-Nade of the Titans exotic chest piece doesn’t consume your grenade either, giving you infinite tesselation shots without the need of a active super

Couldn’t you pair this with Sunbracers on a solar warlock build? That way you wouldn’t need to rely on song of Flame to maximize damage output?
If you wanted to do this without a super you can use arbor warden on titan and use the barricade grenade and unless its been fixed it will just keep giving you your grenade back and you can keep using it with tessolation

I have a build for titan where I use a solar weapon, then khepris horn with a drengrs lash, I tried it and it's good, but idk how good

Yeah, just use the super. This right here is just a waste of the grenade you get while it's active. The consume time takes longer than the grenade recharges anyway.
You can't get infinite shots because you need ammo to fire that shot. I know it because I can't tell you the number of times I tried to fire it and it did nothing, because it did not have ammo That is why I wanted the catalyst to make it a primary ammo fusion. But of course, destiny did not 😢. I know what you are going to say "It too overpowered in pVp." I think that they should nerf the damage like how they did with quick storm. When it became a straind weapon. It lossed 40% damage.

Okay, but why would I use this? Song of Flame is the highest dmg super in the game, and some of the most potent add clear, Im not using it for Tessalation, it just seems like a waste
Highest dps super though isnt highest dps overall, damage for this hasn’t been tested as far as I know; and the tesselation shot doesn’t have to be the only thing you do while you use it
Celestial golden gun is the "highest dps". Because dps means damage per second. If you only do 40k per second for a minute it's still 40k dps. If my super lasts for a second but does 780k then it is 780k dps. Hope this helps😊
@@itsthemoonrabbit768 It would, otherwise you lose super energy and it runs out quicker. Also, Song is the Highest dmg super overall, no exotics, no nothing, with exotics it is in second place with Celestial Marksmans beating it barely.

@@cudaa73 Only with a very specific build, paired with sunbreaker build (sunbracers) I could see you being an absolute beast on the battlefield, but polaris lance does the same thing but better. It's a good gun obviously, especially for a hand cannon but it's nowhere near that level. It's like comparing a coughing baby to a nuclear bomb
@Linkxkatgamerz You don't need anything for sunshot literally just shoot it. Polaris Lance is definitely better for longer ranges though because it's a scout.
it gives grenade energy back so if your using it for add clear dont use song of flame, aslong as you kill like 5 adds with it you will have most of your nade charge back.
Combine with AP veil for even longer

@ldabos6442 8 seconds of unlimited grenades and melee after super. I use it+song of flame+dragons breath and mash all the buttons for about 1.8 mil damage on ogre in grasp of avarice dungeon. No surges
animation of loading the nade takes way too long for this to really give you many shots

You can also eat your prismatic grenade. Maybe not quite as fast but still virtually no cooldown still. I strongly suspect this is what tesselation was designed around

Song of Flame + Dragons Breath is a much better option, Shoot a rocket, throw a grenade, Do a finger snap, and you've just cause enough scorch to get dragons breath back up to 5 stacks of fuel and reloaded it instantly creating a perfect dps loop. Do this instead

The only way this could possibly be worth is if it had fusion rifle surge. Even then i still dont even know if its worth. U probably lose out on way more ignitions than if u spam nade/snap
If you’re using anything but apotheosis/star eater on Song of Flame, you’re wrong. My source= 1.6m dmg versus 450k max
