Chinese authorities have been persecuting monks and nuns at monasteries: putting many in "reeducation camps" that are quite brutal. Praying for peace, safety and freedom for them all. Namaste. ☆ ⊙ ♡

So beautiful .I wish more people would devote time to prayer, chant and meditation esspcilly in the culturally bankrupt over materialistic Modern United States of America ,instead of seeing it as useless or old fashioned. I hope this nunnery stays a place of worship and is untouched by the modern world and the People's Republic of China for a very long, long time so these women and girls can continue the grate work or prayer for the sake of the world.

China is fine with it. As for the Dali Lama , he is also a political leaders and that is what Beijing does not like. I lived in China over a dozen years. The biggest self described experts on China, have never been there and they do not speak Chinese. They are different than the U.S. Until 15 or so years ago, relations between China and the USA were better. I do NOT consider myself to be an expert on China.. The citizens of our two countries are very much alike. It is always leaders who cause any trouble.

The status of Nuns is not just in Tibetan Buddhism but in all Buddhist and other religions are relegated to monks/priest etc.
