    Very underrated channel. No one else really shows all those warm ups and muscle priming exercises that you need to do to maintain your health, plus Jake is a great athlete and able to go through the workouts with near perfect form. Keep up the videos!!!

    Would love to see a video where you cover the process of getting into the sports performance field as a coach and your thoughts of how the best way to go about it would be. Quality content that everyone can always learn from each time

    What would be a cool is an instructional video for accessory lifts to help Olympic lifting, deadlifting and back/front squat.

    Who love Legs Day! Comment why?

  • @MaccaMagicDTTALK

    Why are you doing hip thrusts? It actually creates shearing forces through the lumbar spine + does not translate to jump or sprint performance

    • @lachlanhewlett2365
      @lachlanhewlett2365 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Tommy Wyman Hip thrusts are one of the most incorporating posterior exercises, targeting hamstrings, glutes and the lower back. Plus it puts less strain in the lumbar then a back squat.

    • @MaccaMagicDTTALK

      @@lachlanhewlett2365 Activation for the sake of activation isn't ideal for athletic performance. Hypertrophy maybe but not athletic performance. Without concomitantly increasing quadriceps effort this would unbalance the dynamic conditions and reduced knee extensor net joint moment
      and hence there is actually evidence that the hip thrust negatively impacts athletic performance. The only research you will find supporting the hip thrust is my Bret Contreras who you will find has a MAJOR conflict of interest.

    • @MaccaMagicDTTALK
      @MaccaMagicDTTALK 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you have a sound understanding of biomechanics you would understand that loaded hip thrusts create a large amount of shearing forces on the lumbar spine

    • @lachlanhewlett2365
      @lachlanhewlett2365 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Hip thrust is a horizontal movement, if preformed right the movement places the stain on the correct muscles not on the lumbar. It improves glute and knee extension which directly improves athleticism. @Fitness culture please provide in site.

      @@lachlanhewlett2365 How would it improve knee extension. The knee is in a fixed position? Again the only researcher that finds significant EMG activity in the knee extensor muscles during a hip thrust is Contreras. Find me some non bias research to support your claim!
