But was impressed me is he stay almost 2 hrs after the show to answer audience questions. Someone ask why he would come to such a little town? He replied that when he played Ca. many of the Oregon people would come up to him n ask him to play in this small town. He said he would knowing it would cost him money to do so! He was a kind man, who just wanted people to laugh! R.I.P RALPHIE!!

He did have a big heart you hear him talking about taking the other comic out and how bad he felt. Also like he said if he wins he wins if not he still made them laugh. That’s one of the greatest things about him it wasn’t really about winning or even the money he genuinely just wanted to make people laugh and make their day a little better.

Saw Ralphie May in a small comedy club in northern Atlanta. He spend about 10 minutes making fun of our city name (Alpharetta). Comedy gold. He stuck around afterwards to talk to people and sign autographs. He will be missed.
I cry from a mix of joy and sadness watching Ralphie sometimes. He stayed beautiful till the end. Even the day he died and was feeling like shit he took extra time to take pictures with his fans backstage. He looked so gray and tired In some of those pictures

Watching that opening - I can't imagine doing stand up in front of just two dudes judging you! That's crazy - having no feel for what's working and what's not, being able to read the crowd and playing to silence.
