It's a round turn and two half hitches. Is what the navy uses to tie an ocean liner or warship to the dockside. At least that's what my old scoutmaster used to say.
I had to make two new bottom sashes and glazed them yesterday. They're ready to go in and I'll be doing the bottom sashes on Monday and I'll video the process if I have time. I'll be installing a wagtail to separate the weight chambers, so that the weights don't intertwine.
Amazing setup that I've not come across yet in the house windows that I'm renovating by repair and reconstruction. Thank you once again Jim
They come in batches! I can go months without seeing one and then I've got four or five in four or five different houses in a row.
Thank you for this. I've never a set up like this.
That's the thing with sash windows. There are so many different styles and types and shapes and sizes. As you'll know no two windows are the same.
I love the shared pulley, great idea.
First viewer and your fan
Always good to see you! 👍

They are stainless steel and rated up to 150kg which is more than i will ever need.
What type of knot is that on the cord ?. I'd hate for it to come loose after the job is complete!

What will happen to the lower sashes? They will also be installed in the same

@jimsear Make a video of that too, and give full details with their measurements
