Great song with a shout out to the Beach Boys sound.
I had a strong physical reaction to this song. Much like the one I would have after eating a jar of mayonnaise that had been left open in the sun for a month.
Mike Love can’t help himself. He just has to cop a squat on The Beach Boys legacy every few years. It’s a tradition at this point.

Fun song, I can dig it!! The surf harmonies and I Get Around sections additions add so much to the track. Loved hearing Mike Loves iconic bass voice in the mix, and what to me sounds like Bruce Johnston singing falsetto in the chorus, as well as the great voices of John Cowsill and the rest of the BBs band mixed in! So inspiring to me as a musician to see Mike & Bruce record new music at 80 and 79 respectively

It's crazy the journeys we take in life! Knew Chris Lucas way back early 90's at Archbishop Spalding High in Severn Md..he graduated a year before me and we played on the JV baseball team but never really knew him too well. I remember the ladies liked him & he did a Bell Biv Devoe song at a HomeComing dance one year and u could see he wanted to be in the music scene. Baltimore Boys can pull it off I guess!? Good for him, never saw him as a country dude but def a great performer. He had a sick mullet back in the day too! 😄
I am a huge Beach Boys fan from Austria and I have no idea who Locash are. My musical taste is very old-fashioned and I do not care about modern pop music.
In the past Mike Love had some terrible collaborations, so I feared the worst when I read about this one, but surprisingly, this is very enjoyable, a fun, light-hearted song with a catchy melody.
I am sure many self-proclaimed diehard fans of the Beach Boys (especially from the infamous Smiley Smile Board) will hate this with a passion, even without listening to the song (mainly because they hate everything that Mike Love does; but that's a different story), but I love it. It gives you a great summer feeling.

They think that by mentioning The Beach Boys in every other line makes for a great song...much like Mikey mentioning "Vibrations," getting "Around," having "Fun Fun Fun," and "Summer" in all of his.

Mike Love & his little buddy Brucie are going to squeeze every drop out of the Early-Mid 60s Beach Boys catalog. It’s pathetic. Mike hasn’t come up with an original idea since 1965. Even then, he was weakest front-man in rock & roll.
Johnston & Loves cover band not the same without Jeffrey Foskett.
