Haha I love that, despite the date going really well, they still had to have some tension. That's definitely them. The "in time" part may usually be put at the end of a phrase, in this instance after "get closer" and before the "and", but I think English is flexible enough for there to be no mistakes in what you wrote. You did a great job, and I agree with your statement about them getting closer without 'hate'.

Also that kissing shot with the sun cinematography at the end 👌 gives it a sort of...epic adventure romance ending feeling, like this was a grand, changing moment for the two heroes.
