I had no vacation time for about two months, and on the last day, the work was completed at 1:00 a.m. I felt happy to go home early... I'm working another job right now. Even if I have to work overtime, it's only about 2 hours. Sometimes work starts at night, depending on the situation.

There was no TH-cam yet 40 years ago (this site only started in 2005), but I made my account 17 years ago so that's why the video upload date is 16 years ago :) At that time, I converted this video from an old Japanese karaoke laserdisc (In Japan, laserdiscs were used for karaoke places for a while). The long version on this youtube video is very cool. It was a popular Karaoke laserdisk that got a LOT of play at the bars in the evenings back then. The mentality of many a Japanese Salary-Man ( Sarariman ) was consistent with this REGAIN mantra toward the end of the bubble economy prior to the burst in the 1990's at least. It was quite evident that the much younger males ( 20 years old in 1990 ) even at that time were shifting toward a more "wagamama" or self-interest focused mentality. They were no longer willing to sacrifice themselves totally, mind, body and soul for the company. Much more interest developed for these Millenials/ the new generation about work-life balance. Still it never got even CLOSE to European attitudes though.
