I like when friends are introduced to BTS but did get frustrated by all the interruptions which didn't let him to experience the material genuinely by seeing and hearing the flow. Reactor drama seemed more the order of the day. Some pauses are ok, but one involved jumping over J Hope and Suga's rap in ON. Maybe he heard it. Maybe not. The guest even said "let's go" when the antics were taking over his being shown the material. When the antics subsided a bit, he seemed more comfortable.
Antics is their middle name. lol. I felt JMac's excitement showing BTS to someone for the first time. You know when you want to do everything at once and struggle to hold back? I thought it was hilarious how he wanted to hurry up and check some baby ARMY intro boxes - talent? ✔, hard work and difficulty? ✔, here's my favorite! Presumably you are trying to encourage your guest to feel inspired to explore more BTS music on their own. For me it would have been preferable to let the music breathe and not choke it off with a lot of antics. Like it or not, and trust me it often dismays me, in the West there is a level of resistance to BTS amongst males because BTS is perceived as either music for girls or something they for whatever of a list of reasons don't feel compelled to engage. I believe many will connect to BTS if allowed to appreciate their music and skills not based on someone else's experience of BTS but as somewhat curious newbies absorbing something they may previously have hesitated to engage. What I watched particularly during the first half of this reaction was a newbie being overwhelmed by a reactor more so than content which was strong enough to overwhelm on its own. If you want to see a model reactor who bases his channel on showing newbie guests BTS I suggest Norrito TV. Granted it's in Korean and his guests have a measure of awareness of BTS, but this awareness is from a distance and they are not true fans. Jay the moderator's style allows newbies space to absorb the material and formulate opinions. Most have come out with the kind of higher regard for BTS which portends for more BTS listening on their own. Many opt to return again to the channel. I have liked the AMP Theory channel for a long time but found today's reaction took what should have been sharing of BTS to flaunting a personal investment in the group's output. As such it was not what I had hoped for.
All of these are without Context, it looks out of place for him so you can't get a genuine reaction from him. But if he's willing to know more about BTS, you can bring him next time. But at his own pace not forced.

Dear ARMY: I know everyone gets excited by indoctrinating people into ARMY, but I'm really disappointed how some of you are being critical of how Scott and JMac are introducing BTS to James. This is just one tiny video - and they planned a little sample that isn't overwhelming. Recruiting takes finesse and time. No one can know everything instantly. If you are trying to recruit new ARMY, I can't imagine starting with how many KOMCA credits they have, what they wanted to be when they grow up, or their outdated titles in the group, etc. Everyone chiming in with biographies must be new here, too. Don't worry - these guys know plenty, but once again, telling James everything at once can be off-putting. It is also their right to edit their videos however they wish. If they thought it was necessary to cut parts out, then you didn't miss any important content from those pieces. Just relax and have fun with this! This will be interesting to see. I doubt we will ever get loud WOWs and OMGs - and that's ok, because James is open-minded and respectful - curious about what his friends are into. So, let's see what we do get from such a chill dude and watch a gentle tumble down the rabbit hole! 😃ApoBangpo!
He's their friend, they can do their thing their own way. Sometimes it is also what you choose to introduce your friend to BTS. I remember one reactor chose to react to Black Swan for his first time - at the end he looked at the camera and said he didn't really know what to say, he didn't understand what he was looking at. ARMY to the rescue! They suggested better starting points to him and he was soon well and truly in the rabbit hole.

Honest opinion - I think you didn't allow the guest to enjoy the performances you instead were pushing him to either go with Jimin or Suga - from where I'm sitting he didn't enjoy this at all. You should have allowed him to flow with the performances and choose the person he enjoyed liking. In my opinion I think he liked JK - every time JK appeared he'd ask who's the JT or the Beyonce of the group. I may be totally wrong. In future allow the guests to be.
Just going to put this out there because there are obviously some solo fans here, and OT7 ARMY needs to at least clarify, IMO. All seven are great guys and extremely talented. They all bring their own unique personalities and talents. Not one is expendable. None of them is “THE” star of BTS - they all are the stars, so that also means that none of them is “The King” of KPop. I have seen YT magazines call JK, V and Jimin that. I reject it. If they aren’t the main star of their group, how can they alone be the king of a whole subset of music? At least 3 of them, that I am aware of, have a black belt in some form of martial arts. All have broken records in their solo endeavors and been recognized by professionals.
Just a personal preference but when you introduce people to BTS, I think it's fair to say things like "he's my favorite rapper" but not stuff like "he's the best rapper/singer." Like it's different with dance because that's something more subjective and the boys have recognized the dance rank and Hobi's the dance leader so there is a best dancer (though people can have their preferences there too). But the rappers have all been rapping for 13+ years now and their mastery is pretty equal across the board with each member having their own particular strengths. So you may have a favorite rapper or singer but, as far as your new friend knows, it's just a fact that Suga is the best rapper. And maybe he'll like Suga best too. But let him figure that out.
I agree, but I think it also applies to the best dancer, especially since BTS has two main dancers and JK is also very good. It's more about style preferences or performance itself. I like J-Hope and JK the best, but I understand why another people prefer Jimin. You are absolutely right about the rappers. People also have different preferences among singers. JK is the most constant and versatile, Jimin has a high-pitched voice, Jin has the most emotion in his voice, and Tae has a velvety baritone.
There is a Run BTS episode (Summer Outing?) where one of the activities is to kick off the bottle cap from a closed bottle. JK achieved it with pin-point accuracy. Stunning!

If you are trying to recruit new ARMY, I can't imagine starting with how many KOMCA credits they have, what they wanted to be when they grow up, or their outdated titles in the group, etc. Everyone chiming in with biographies must be new here, too. Don't worry - these guys know plenty, but once again, telling James everything at once can be off-putting. It is also their right to edit their videos however they wish. If they thought it was necessary to cut parts out, then you didn't miss any important content from those pieces. Just relax and have fun with this! This will be interesting to see. I doubt we will ever get loud WOWs and OMGs - and that's ok, because James is open-minded and respectful - curious about what his friends are into. So, let's see what we do get from such a chill dude and watch a gentle tumble down the rabbit hole! 😃ApoBangpo!
He's their friend, they can do their thing their own way. Sometimes it is also what you choose to introduce your friend to BTS. I remember one reactor chose to react to Black Swan for his first time - at the end he looked at the camera and said he didn't really know what to say, he didn't understand what he was looking at. ARMY to the rescue! They suggested better starting points to him and he was soon well and truly in the rabbit hole.

Honest opinion - I think you didn't allow the guest to enjoy the performances you instead were pushing him to either go with Jimin or Suga - from where I'm sitting he didn't enjoy this at all. You should have allowed him to flow with the performances and choose the person he enjoyed liking. In my opinion I think he liked JK - every time JK appeared he'd ask who's the JT or the Beyonce of the group. I may be totally wrong. In future allow the guests to be.
Just going to put this out there because there are obviously some solo fans here, and OT7 ARMY needs to at least clarify, IMO. All seven are great guys and extremely talented. They all bring their own unique personalities and talents.
Not one is expendable. None of them is “THE” star of BTS - they all are the stars, so that also means that none of them is “The King” of KPop. I have seen YT magazines call JK, V and Jimin that. I reject it. If they aren’t the main star of their group, how can they alone be the king of a whole subset of music?
At least 3 of them, that I am aware of, have a black belt in some form of martial arts.
All have broken records in their solo endeavors and been recognized by professionals.

Just a personal preference but when you introduce people to BTS, I think it's fair to say things like "he's my favorite rapper" but not stuff like "he's the best rapper/singer." Like it's different with dance because that's something more subjective and the boys have recognized the dance rank and Hobi's the dance leader so there is a best dancer (though people can have their preferences there too). But the rappers have all been rapping for 13+ years now and their mastery is pretty equal across the board with each member having their own particular strengths. So you may have a favorite rapper or singer but, as far as your new friend knows, it's just a fact that Suga is the best rapper. And maybe he'll like Suga best too. But let him figure that out.
I agree, but I think it also applies to the best dancer, especially since BTS has two main dancers and JK is also very good. It's more about style preferences or performance itself. I like J-Hope and JK the best, but I understand why another people prefer Jimin. You are absolutely right about the rappers. People also have different preferences among singers. JK is the most constant and versatile, Jimin has a high-pitched voice, Jin has the most emotion in his voice, and Tae has a velvety baritone.

There is a Run BTS episode (Summer Outing?) where one of the activities is to kick off the bottle cap from a closed bottle. JK achieved it with pin-point accuracy. Stunning!

Namjoon or RM- leader of the group. The *Main Rapper* . Formerly known as Rap Monster during the early days and Runch Randa during his underground rapper debut. He is the *youngest and most credited artist in Korea having 217 songs registered in KOMCA (Korean Music Copyright Associations)* . Most of BTS songs were written by him. He was also known as one of the best fast rappers including Yoongi. He is also known having one of the best flow rappers and one of the best word play writer/composers.(sad to say, new fans don't see his rap fast skill coz Namjoon was too focus on doing slow rap. I hope someday he will do it again.)
Kim Seokjin- The eldest of the group. Known as the *silver voice* . Him and Jimin have the highest vocals in BTS. Even though he was the first one to enter the military, his solo Track Astronaut is still achieving lots of recognition. He is also known as the world wide handsome.
Min Yoongi- Yoongi is one of the *lead rappers* . He is also known as Agust D and Suga. He is known as *tongue technology* because of his fast rap. He and Namjoon were listed as one of the best. Yoongi was still active doing fast rap than Namjoon. Yoongi once said, he really idolized Namjoon's rap skill. Yoongi and Namjoon knew each other for 13 years already. Yoongi is one of the *best Producer of Korean Industry* .

Jung Hoseok- known as Jhope or Hobie. part of the *lead rapper* and *Main dancer* . *The dance leader of BTS* .. He is known as one of the best dancers in KPOP dancers or I say the Best when it comes to *street dancing* .
Park Jimin- known as Mochi or Jiminii. Also a *main dancer* . If jhope is not around, he is the dance leader. Jhope and Jimin were always compared by most of the people. Both are great dancers. Jimin is also known in Korea as the best dancer. Here's the tea: Jhope is the best for street dancing. And Jimin is the *best with contemporary with a twist and with a mixed of martial arts in dancing* . If you watch more videos of BTS, you will noticed two are always together with different style in performing.
Kim Taehyung- also known as V for Victory. he has the *deepest voice* when it comes to singing. His voice is so good as background vocals for high notes singer. He is known as *most handsome* . he has the sweetest deep voice. V loves to sing with instrument such as saxophone.
Jeon Jungkook- known as JK or Jungkook. he is the *Golden Maknae. He is the Main Vocalist and one of the lead dancers. HE CAN LITERALLY DO EVERYTHING* . He is so good in dancing, singing, rapping and all the skill in the world. he is so precious. There is a saying, JK is *the embodiment of the 6 members* . hahahhahaaa

@@Imme_begin As I already stated, he epitomized everything. It signifies he possesses all that the 6 possesses. He has everything more than everyone else. This is a big significant already more than I shared to the other members. He has the ability of everyone, but no one can do it as well as JK. There are no plans to bring Jungkook down same as to other members. I am an OT7 who loves them equally. Now, if that makes you feel bad because I made an error of not giving more credit to JK's position, I sincerely apologize about it. I attempted to explain as much as I could to the creator which were few ARMYs who were doing this. If it makes your heart happy, I can edit my comment.
