- WE FINALLY GOT A HAPPY ENDING!!! This is the ending Halsin deserved from the start. In his words, the bear stopped roaming. The community begged for it and Larian delivered. I couldn't wish for a better update for this amazing hunk of a man... the previous ending we got was so disappointing, however this is the best thing to ever happen in comparison.

I almost lost it when I saw Halsin and my Tav arriving together. And then during their dialogue, which proves they remained together. I am happy that Halsin realised he doesn't need to "roam freely" anymore and that he discovered his true nature, his place with the one he loves.

This has sealed it for me 😁 👌 on my first playthrough and wanted to romance halsin but was put off by the fact he'd leave at the end. Now we've got the epilogue and can join him, I'm buzzing lol
SAME! I reverted back to Gale despite being down on myself (me and my tav lol) for feeling like we had to compete against a goddess. Now I can romance both boys with the knowledge that there are happy endings.

I had to do the same thing immediately. The owlbear adoption is also funny, as is him getting drunk and turning into a bear.
"Yet you chose me" slays me on so many levels, from his feelings of inadequacy, to the EA players asking for him to be a companion, to the success of BG3 itself. But mostly his disbelief Tav would choose him. Phenomenal reading by Dave.
That hug hurts to watch if you broke up with him at the end.
Wow! I wish I could have this ending! How were you able to leave BG with him for the six months instead of only meeting there at the reunion?
@@talassapires6444 You pick the same options -- if you say you want to visit him, the narrator says you followed him in a tenday. And then it's happily ever after... at least for 6 months.
I just played the hole game again, and it seems to be updated on steam... But no matter how much I tried to combine the pre-dialogue with the "I do" in the ending, I couldn't get the new ending... So sad 😢

I speedran a playthrough just to solo romance Halsin without spoilers, just got the epilogue myself. So cute! And of course 2.5 seconds in my tav was like "HONEEYYY we adopted the Owlbear is that okay!!"

My game is bugged for some reason. Only with Halsin but the game won’t give me the new epilogue with him. Just my Tav arriving at the party alone :/
Not sure if this is bugged a bit if you make certain choices. I romanced Halsin & Karlach. Karlach went crispy and I said I would go with Halsin. At the party though he was talking like I hadn’t seen him in 6 months. The scene in the bedroom was also super awkward because Karlach was standing right behind Halsin, like her ghost was watching. Main save I went with Karlach to Avenus so she wouldn’t die. Wyll became Duke because we thought his dad was dead. Was a nice surprise to find him alive.

I haven't watched the video, cuz I really want to see it all myself. I've seen some poly-dialogues with him in my other runs, but after patch 5 my save with Halsin-only-romance was broken, so I couldn't see any final party with him only 😭now I'm playing act 3, sooo I'm almost there 😻 But! today I suddenly managed to download my old save aaand... I was invited to the party alone 😱 I wonder why 😵 P.S.: I guess I need to romance Halsin alone, without other companions or break-ups, but it'll take time again 😅
Wait what do we have to do to get this scene of arriving together with Halsin in my playthrough even when I'm only dating Halsin after the final battle I only get the scene where Halsin says he's going back to Thaniel's realm to raise the orphan children. I never got an option to leave with him just only the if you still want to see him again. Then for the reunion my character just arrived by herself. Can anyone please tell me how can I get these scenes with Halsin PLEASE!
Something is wrong for you then. Any of the top 3 lines, you arrive together, even though #2 and #3 have the non-romance dialogue as if you have been apart while you are there. (Those two seem bugged.)
Please I didn't watch the video just tell me : can you marry him or can he stay with you ? Is it a sweet ending ? I am romancing Astarion and Halsin but I start to a be more into Halsin (if only we could have more content with him 🥺).

I did not romance Astarion on this run so I have nooo idea how that dynamic works and whose ending you get 🤔
If you've romanced both, and didn't break up with Astarion you get the old scenes with them and then you enter the party area with Astarion (you're with him for the last six months) and meet Halsin there (he is starved for hugs and kisses, I wish I could drag Astarion to Thaniel's realm and stay with Halsin).
As ascended or spawn Astarion origin who only romanced Halsin I get the same scenes as the ones in your vid.
I don't think that there are spoilers any more but spawn in Astarion origin ending Karlach just dies and I haven't found a way to avoid it.
do you know if it's enough to break up with astarion in the last scene (when you are in the room) or does it have to happen before the fight?@@Rauvelore
@@scherana I don't know as Astarion Origin I only romanced Halsin. But I would love to know the answer to your question.
I broke up with Astarion in act 3 and stayed with Halsin. I did not get this epilogue, my Tav arrived alone
what happens if you romaced halsin and astarion
I romanced both. In my case I arrived to the party with Astarion and Halsin was starved for hugs and affection. I didn't like it.
The best one for Halsin was my Ascendant Astarion Origin. There was no evil Astarion (essentially he behaves like a Tav) and Halsin is so happy.
Now I'm so torn. I don't want to go the friendship route after Araj with Astarion, just to see what will happen. I just want to have a life with both of them.

There is a whole new post-game area of camp now with Patch #5. You have to go back to an earlier save before the Netherbrain dies (can be mid-fight, doesn't matter!) and defeat the Nethebrain "again". The usual ending will load after that and once you're done with that it'll send you to camp instead of the credits rolling! There you can talk to all of your companions again. :) It's also technically a 6 month time skip.

@@Shiveria Yes, I never romanced Astarion so that was out of the question for me. This is pure Halsin romance for the entire run of the game.
He seems full of regret, worry and melancholy. I thought he was supposed to be the relaxed nature-loving one 😂
He never was, if you pay any attention you realize he's been burdened with the weight of the shadow curse, losing his old friend Thaniel, his mentor and his friends and then having to accept the burden of being archdruid, something he's not that comfortable with. This epilogue is great because he has finally found his place and is truly healing.
He has always been full of regret and blames himself for anything bad that happens. If you do the non-romance epilogue, he talks about not having friends or confidants since the shadow curse... 100 years of loneliness.
@@Asri_ Exactly! His story is quite tragic (then again, which character's in this game isn't?), and yet so many people think he's boring and shallow.
@@XofHope Too many people start and stop at the bear thing; it was marketing gold but hurt the character. Still he's just being GGG.
His story isn't hidden, it's just not tied to a big dramatic story arc like any other companion.
@@Asri_ Couldn't agree more about the bear thing. Unfortunately his romanceable persona was treated mostly as a joke and/or thirst trap and that greatly diminished him as a character, on top of not actually having an arc in chapter 3. I'm glad Larian seems to have understood that some of us really like him for his sweet personality and have decided to, at least, give us this ending.
