How to reset your GE Stackable Washer Dryer Computer.
Lost my place to sleep by-passing the repair man. But was allowed back later that day.
Originally I had taken down the video, until a part 2 came about, confirming my rant in part 1.

In my experience having the machine extremely leveled has help to keep it working properly.
I have the same unit you are working with, my door lock broke and I did a bypass on it. My floor is badly un leveled. I leveled the machine and did a reset on it. Works fine now.

I have watched so many videos on Double Stack washer and dryers because I have one it's a pain in the butt and since watching your video and I've tried what you did on the video that I watched of yours it is working so far I wish you just had a video on the double Dryer part because I sure could use a video on that it worked just fine the dryer that is and then it just stopped heating up and I don't think it needs a heating element and it I think it's something else but thank you very much I appreciate all the help on your video that I've watched and it was the only one out of all the videos that I've watched that help me is yours

Just to add a few tips about this washer and the things that typically go bad and cause a critical error.
Ran into a 24 inch model, about 5 years old, and it would not enter diagnostics. This machine must be clear of any error codes left in memory, or it will not work properly. After attempting to enter diagnostics as per instructions, we tried several different spots on the clock position. Finding on this model, landing on the 7 o'clock position instead of the 6 'clock , will allow the entry of diagnostics, and then all other procedures are as written in the tech manual, or can be found on other channels to observe how to test and clear codes.
Main failure points :
Pressure switch tube/air chamber clogged up, will not recognize proper water level. Fix, blow out obstruction from air chamber on side of outer tub where pressure switch tube attaches.
Lid/Lock and Lid Switch failure. Fix, replace as necessary, should show failed by diagnostics code when testing.
Broken/Cut wire at main motor wire harness. Rubs and gets cut on sharp sheet metal from movement/vibration. Fix, repair if enough wire present or replace motor if necessary. Check motor windings from control block plugs to motor.
Obstruction around drive belt and motor pulley. Fix, remove obstruction, install belt if it has come off.
Rarely is the control board defective on these machines, at least of all of the ones I have looked at, so be careful before buying a new control board. Exhaust all other options first. Try position 7 on diagnostics entry if it won't work on position 6
Gearcase failure causing the tub to move with agitator during agitation, thus overworking the motor and shutting off. Fix, replace gearbox or a Tub/Gearbox kit. comes preassembled with bearings, seals, etc. Freight shipped only. Pricey repair.
Hope this helps you on this highly likely to break down washer. Remember that codes must be cleared to start working normally again after a fault code is detected by this control board.
I'm not sure if it will clear itself when power is removed for a certain period of time or not. I have had customers leave power off for 24 hours and it still wouldn't work until codes were cleared.

Bro thank you, my washer wasn't spinning. I never touched one of these things before. You showed me how to open it and see the belt on the bottom had fallen off and there was clothes in there too. However my computer won't reset because on the dial mins heavy where yours says Normal. Maybe a slightly different model.

Thank you. The reset got it out of a hung-up mode. The reset only seemed to work, though, once I popped the front off for some reason. Coincidence? Or is there a sensor in the front?
I showed lid lock codes. So I bought a lid switch. Ran washer in diagnostic mode. Showed no codes. When I reset my codes and tried to spin only it gives me flashing spin. Any ideas

Hey brother, thanks for uploading short yet very informative video. I have a GE stackable washer/dryer that’s acting up lately. When it comes to rinse, it stops working completely. I unplugged it few times to reset it. Then started off with spin, it spins but stops again at rinse. I hired a guy who took the water out with the help of a vacuum, removed the drain pump motor, clean it thoroughly, cleaned both pipes as well. The washer worked that day and the next day it stopped working again at “rinse”. The guy also told me that I might have to replace the drain pump asap. I called him next day to inform about the washer not working. He said I definitely need to replace the drain pump motor now. He was asking too much money. I couldn’t afford it. Please help me to solve this problem. One of the videos on TH-cam said my lid lock switch is broken, I changed it but still the same. What do you think I need to do to fix it. Thank you

What you did puts the Washer in diagnostics mode...it helps isolate and identify faults but doesn't reset the computer.
Does the reset have to be done when I can't make just the spin cycle dial setting work? Btw, do you repair these washing machines? I have one that needs work..thx

@@lucascameron8539 I am working on a Frigidaire laundry Center similar to this one. The washing machine will not start or do anything. The only thing that happens when I pull the knob out to start the cycle is the door lock light comes on but does not lock the front loader door. Could this be a timer issue?

1 GE use the shocks that sucked and then Whirlpool took that idea and went ahead and use them as well ....You can also tell if those shocks are bad by pushing straight down and releasing and it should come straight back up and not bounce all over the place (grew up in repair business have my own appliance repair company)
Maybe you can help me. I bought one of these used and had it in storage for the last five months. Just hooked it all up and only the dryer works. The washer is doing absolutely nothing. Can't "reset" it or anything. HELP! 🙏🙂

My dryer not working
We had a sock get stuck in belt. The belt fell off. We fixed everything but there are 2 wires blue and red hanging lose and a small plastic chip. Ever see this.

Sorry, but I'd rather not speculate as to what your issue is exactly.
For starters though, there should be fuses or a breaker in the washer somewhere.
All water/electrical devices have one or the 2. See if you can find them. Fuses are cheap.
Just be sure to unplug it when messing around with electricity.

@@kansel7479 mine ended up being a knife switch in a box above my 220 outlet not closing all the way so I was only getting about 30V instead of 220.

So I have the same washer and dryer and the wash light will come on and put just a squart of water then shut off any suggestions

The washer I fixed in the video had all kinds of problems with balanced loads, tripping spin sensors because of the drum falling off supports.
I had a good working relationship with that thing let me tell you man.
Water supply, the solenoid valves for both the supply and drain The lid close sensor and dial selectors are are the first to go usually on washing machines.
I'm not there and can't see it,
But give each a good check. Sometimes lid sensors get full of soap. Anything that looks out of place is a good place to start.
