  • Full show of Nanci Griffith & the Blue Moon Orchestra performing live at Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor, Michigan in April 4, 1995.
I absolutely love the warm intro here, on her "Flyer" tour.
She was at the height of her career, had just won the Grammy for Best Contemporary Folk Album for her album "Other Voices, Other Rooms" last year and had just been nominated again for her album "Flyer" in the same category this year.

I play her CD's to this day.!! I'm thankful for TH-cam and the internet so that great things are not lost but always out there if you just look. 🎵💖

I heard Nanci's music on Folk Alley years ago and have been collecting it ever since. She's such a pleasure to listen to and the Blue Moon Orchestra adds to it as well.

I wish I could have been here this night.
Such a huge talent, she deserved WAY more than what she got in terms of recognition in her lifetime. I believe her music will live on for a LONG time.

You can really hear her deep connection with Hooker here, in the formative times when they were seriously hitting pay dirt. God Bless the virtuosti musician, James Hooker. Thank you, friend. You helped us meet Nanci one enchanted night. Meeting you was just as great.

      If These Walls Could Speak.
James Hooker is a true virtuosic arranger. That shit is golden. You deserve a raise, my friend. Thanks for that work.
