Blue Beetle is NOT apart of the DC Extended Universe! You can take that out and let James Gunn do what he wants with it for DCU Chapter One Gods and Monsters, fits way better with Booster Gold Season 1, in my opinion, the post-credits scene proves that, otherwise, if it was part of the DC Extended Universe, then you would have to explain where Ted Kord has been all this time, and I don't think he was taken prisoner by Darkseid, I think he has been time traveling with Booster Gold.

This franchise had potential
But it didn’t
Which was unceremoniously STOLEN from us because the jackasses at Warner Bros. were less concerned about US who wanted and appreciated their [initially] more mature take on the subject matter and expressed greater concerns over some arbitrary "Critic Reviews" and about trying to gain access to the same kind of cash the MCU was raking in with their Frankenstein Monster mish-mashes of clashing tones and "No Thinking Required" storytelling.

Blue Beetle is NOT apart of the DC Extended Universe! These quotes by James Gunn proves that Blue Beetle is actually apart of the DCU Chapter One Gods and Monsters, "I mean the first DCU character for sure is Blue Beetle and the first full DCU movie is Superman" also "And then to move into Blue Beetle a fantastic film about a kid who's a marvelous part of the DCU."
Most of these movies are terrible. Glad they’re rebooting, but hopefully they get the characters right.
I'm going to buck the popular trend of cheering for WB's/DC's upcoming "Reboot" plans by proclaiming that James Gunn and his whole "DCU" can all go ROT in U-No-Wear! The "Suits" at WB, because of getting cold feet over a few lackluster reviews from a bunch of jaded "Film Critics," and because of unwarranted greed, destroyed their credibility and reputation by stabbing us, the fans of these characters, and esp. Zack Snyder in the back by deviating hard away from the largely solid and mature epic storytelling in favor of trying to imitate the thread-bare "MCU" by transforming their own "DCEU" franchise into an embarrassing "safe" watered-down bad knock-off of the MCU, filled to the brim with mostly unfunny and awkwardly forced cringey jokes! Thank God the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut of "JUSTICE LEAGUE" campaign was successful, so that we could get a true taste of what might have actually been! ~ [also...] #ReleaseTheAyerCut
