nice video as always , can't wait for the seedlings video as I've got mine going as well , why do I always have trouble getting echinacea seeds to germinate ??
It’s been my orlaya for me that are having trouble germinating just now. I think for echinacea they like light to germinate and a bit of cold stratification too, good luck!
Thanks for all the tips! Plants are all looking stunning! My Dahlias are all in pots and I need to vacate them in order to plant my spring bulbs- do I have to wait until they die back from frost or can I remove them first and prepare them to store?
Thank you 🙂 I have a lot in pots too I need to change to bulbs. When you let them blacken with frosts on the leaves before lifting you are giving tubers more time to ripen and store better to produce better plants the following year. It’s always good to leave them until the frosts if you can. You can lift and store now but there is a chance the tuber will produce fewer good quality flowers the following year x
@@cloudberryflowers-flowerfarm unfortunately sawflies have to be picked off daily if you don’t want to spray! Leafhoppers are more difficult as very hard to spot. For thrips I have heard organic pest sprays or netting flowers tend to be the best ways to deal with them. Also for dahlias or bulbs that have had issues with thrips you need to soak bulbs in a solution before storing to get rid of the eggs/ larvae
