I had it done several times. I love it. I'm 52 with a short bob and from a distance I look younger. lol. The 1st time I was afraid the grow out would be too harsh for my partially gray head. It wasn't. In fact I like it more than just thin foils, that method aged me, IMO. I wish you would make a video about how to keep it up at home with 2 boxed home hair dye. I can't get to my stylist every 6-7 weeks. Can you show this on us older ladies sporting this look. I wish I could send phot. It's cute.
I love your videos! I graduated school in November (finished with a majority of it online, thanks covid) so I didn’t get as much hands in practice as I would have liked. I’ve been having to play catch up both in the salon and at home to teach myself the techniques I never got to try. Thank you for this video! Please post more if you’re able, I really am looking specifically for highlighting videos that really go into placement and why. The salon I currently work at does no education and the stylists get annoyed if I try to watch or learn from them, and that’s if I have time away from my own clients. A lot of the time my foils at work either turn out great and very blended, or they look “stringy” for lack of a better word. I’ve tried everything that I learned in school, teasing, weaving, slicing, etc and it all either works out or it doesn’t. I think my issue is that I revert to just the 4 standard for almost every head because I never quite figured out how to pattern my foils for each clients head and desired results. I also have a hard time highlighting with a base color as well (for example a client with level 7 hair wants a level 4 base AND lowlight with brighter highlights) I have trouble figuring out how to place both the lightener and the color for maximum efficiency and blend. What I have figured out myself is to just weave and highlight like normal, and then go back through between the foils to color the left out pieces darker. The problem that I find is this ends up being really messy and I’m not sure if it’s the best method to achieve the goal. I generally do back to back weaves because I’m scared to try other stuff, as when I do it usually just ends up being wonky or a waste of my time. I’ve tried to weave, leave out a few large slices of hair from top of nape section to lower crown, and then I will start to back to back weave from crown and lower parietal up to mimic how sun naturally highlights hair. It’s always seems to look “meh” to me though. If you have any more videos or any insight I would love to pick your brain. Thank you so much for these videos, they really help new stylists like myself who were robbed by covid 💕💕💕

I didnt understand this video. I love the look but it looked like you colored every piece dark then she has dark damp hair and all of a sudden she has the bold blonde highlights.
Love it. I would even like it more if the blonde was lighter in some parts. I wish knew someone who could do this where I live.
