I've always loved Hardline but they really took a blow in the drummer department. They had a couple great drummers in the past and it made a huge difference in their sound. This drummer isn't bad, just not a good fit and doesn't interpret the songs well.
It's natural to mess lyrics up, especially for an older song. You'd be surprised how little... Focus I guess? That those high notes take when you're used to them (and BOY is he used to them, for the Brunette demos there were one or two songs where he hit a G#5, like DAMN)
